WOW...we drafted him in the 3rd before, out of HS, but didn't sign with us in 2008. Wonder what happened to him that he fell so far?

    Just didn't have it.

    Freshman in 09: .231, 3 homers, 19 RBI in 45 games

    Sophomore: .189, 1 homer, 8 RBI
He missed 10 games due to elbow and ankle problems

Bounced back this year, hitting .278, with 7 homers and 31 RBI in 51 games. Slugged .497 with an OBP of .341. Struck out 50 times, compared to only 13 walks.

His plate discipline leaves a little to be desired.

    09: 9 BB, 39 K
    10: 11 BB, 44 K

Granger has been making plenty of noise at the plate this season with a .607 batting average, which includes 11 home runs and 47 RBIs, in helping Northside Methodist Academy to an 17-6 record.

WOW...It is a pick in the 40s so probably just organizational filler.

Thanks for the info and keeping what with the picks.

His situation seems like the type where he could go back to college to have a fully healthy season under his belt to help his stock. Hopefully he signs

Nice and all you can throw 'hard as hell' but are you accurate or can you locate with your pitches?

I'm sure Rick Ankiel could throw hard as hell too.:p

I watched him play quite a bit. He's got legit big league stuff. He's a big guy with a lot of movement on a decent fastball. Jim Gilligan is still the best coach in college ball at making good pitchers.

    Ha, thank you very much.

A commenter on TCB reports that Kellogg is a headcase with 3 arrests under his belt. High risk, high reward type here?
