I haven't played Dead Nation (going to be one of the games I get), but the other 4 are all pretty awesome. I was a bit surprised that Sony put some great games on the list (figured it would be like "PAIN" and "Calling All Cars" or something). Can't really go wrong with any of them I think. LBP and Infamous were retail releases, so they might be a bit "meatier," although you can probably get them cheap too. Wipeout was practically a retail release IIRC. SSHD was always an "arcade" style game (as is Dead Nation), but it is one of the best IMO. One of the few bright points of the PSN Store early on. Some of the games are probably pretty large (could be up to 25GB), so that might be why the download is taking so long...plus Sony's probably getting hit by all the users downloading games.
inFamous is 7gb LBP is 2 At least there were the two I got I'm not even sure how big Ratchet & Clank is, and I'm planning to dl it with my Euro account... Don't think I got enough space
I already own Infamous and have beaten LBP with my friend, so I dowloaded Dead Nation and Wipeout. I'm not usually a fan of racing games, but I'm obsessed with Wipeout now.
That's what SHE said! :grin: I guess that's a good thing? Sorry, I broke my own rule of 1 TWSS per thread per page. Seriously speaking, dear sir... it should not take "forever", since that is a long time; it took my 3Mb/s connection about 30 minutes to download LBP. It's a 2+Gb file.
Somehow, I managed to botch my 2nd game download and the 2nd game icon disappeared. i accidentally did a double download on inFAMOUS and cancelled one. the damn cart said i even already purchased the game and it was downloading. so, wtf did it take my PS3 Game 2 free icon away for then? lol. for crying out loud! oh well...got inFAMOUS anyway. i wanted Dead Nation, too, though. screw it! if sony can't even correctly implement this stuff while preventing mishaps and icons from disappearing, then i have little faith in anything they are doing going forward. granted, i made a user mistake but their system allowed me to make that mistake. and, i'm supposed to trust their security going forward based on this? bs, man.
Do what I did, start downloading the two games, then have them download in the background and go to the menu option to turn off the PS3(make sure you do it from the menu, don't hit the button) check the box to turn off when done downloading, turn off the tv, then go to bed.
