Mexico could be up 12-0 in this one. They had tons of chances to score but poor finishing. Now El Salvador is opening a can of quit. I only hope US shows up on Tuesday. Just as I type Mexico misses a gimme for 4-0. Mexico finally has true star power up front to go with their excellent midfield. If their back 4 holds up they are going to lap the CONCACAF field.
I don't really want to watch basketball, but this is getting out of hand. I want to see a gang fight in the parking lot. Hope Univision carries it. I'd like to see the US at Reliant but I don't believe in them right now.
¡¡¡mmmm-CHICHARIGOLLLLL!!!!!!!!AZO!!!!! OMG. Let me catch my breath!!! Univision commentators just said score is 47-42 Miami leading. Wait until the main team is back. I believe you're missing a good midfield. Hope they make a good game out of Canada... but it seems Canada has a good team this time around. They tied their last preparation game.
CHICHARITO3! Spoiler Good, because this puts us at first place tied with Costa Rica. WHEW.
Nice Mexico game, the 1st half they didnt looked good, missing a lot of good oportunities, I was getting worried. but 2nd half was good, Giovanni Dos Santos played amazing. I think this is the first time I watch a soccer game, instead of NBA Finals game.
Game day for the US vs Canada at 6:30 tonight. Will be nice to see them come out with some conviction and finally get an early goal. Should be playing at full strength with Donovan back. I still have little confidence in the back 4 outside of Bocanegra...which is to say I have no confidence in the back 4. They have to quit playing in a straight line and close out the space much earlier. If they let DeRo have 15-20 yards of space he's going to hurt them. I'm predicting 2-0 USA tonight.
I have a feeling it will be 2-2. Canada's got some potent midfield and they are getting DeRo back. Scary. Michael Bradley will be the key to attack and defend in the midfield. Anyone know how to get this here graphic in its original form? Spoiler I searched everywhere in USSOCCER punto com... and google'd it... but no dice.
Yeap. You left me satisfied. WHOA. I like this one instead... because it's so full of stuff... and I can see it so clearly. I had not seen such a big one. THANK YOU, BOTH. Come again. It's going to be good tonight.
Goaaaallllll!!! Altidore! A weak shot the keeper should have stopped puts the US up early. It was a matter of time. US had four corners before that.
Well, had the prediction right as the better team won. My real disappointment is that it wasn't more. They don't move forward in numbers well. Maybe it's shell shock from giving up so many early goals over the last couple of years. But when you're playing teams you know you're better than, you have to push them early and impose your will on them. The US does not do that. They force long balls forward and watch, hoping the forwards can do something on their own. It was when they started moving the ball through the midfield that the goals came and they dominated a majority of the game. Canada had few real chances that Tim Howard did very well to deal with. Still missing that creativity through the middle. The buildup to Dempsey's goal was quite nice. This was, by far, the best that Altidore has played in some time. He held well, passed well and finished. What more can you ask from your forwards? Bradley had a great game in the middle and was all over the field. Jermaine Jones was much better than on Saturday, though I still prefer Edu. Curious (but not disappointed) as to why it was Ream and Goodson in the middle and no Onyewu. Guess they figured Canada isn't a big team but has speed and Gooch wouldn't be able to hang...and he played like s*** on Saturday. Panama beat Guadaloupe 3-2. Both teams could be spoilers so the US has to crush their spirits early and often.

Boring 1st half. Better second half. U.S.A. played its style of football in the second half, but it was mostly because of what I said about Bradley... he was the one keeping the ball most of the time. It seems like the Stars and Stripes' style is pretty much bounce it in there from a long pass or off a cross and see if someone gets the rebound and puts it in... although not creative, it gets the score. Hey, if it works, it works. Should have won by much more, though. I am happy with both DYNAMO players Jermaine Jones and Hehnault's played well, although Hehnault didn't get much help in the back lines. cheapskates??? It's both of the flags left over from the previous game's highlights. someone's getting the pink slip at the video production company... I wished the highlights didn't have the music... a'la FIFA.com style.
