The question you answered wasn't about Kobe it was about shooting guards. You don't have MJ in your top 5 and you consistently downplay Kobe for shooting too much and other two guards that you consider to be volume shooters. My point is more that I feel like you have more of a problem with how the 2 guard is suppose to be played than the players. All the great two guards West, Jordan, Kobe, Gervin etc all took 18-22 shots per game because that was their job on the court.
Gah, I really don't want to keep discussing this here but I can't help it. You have to factor in teammates. Again, look at the options Kobe has had and the #shots he's taken relative to them. It's just too many, and it explains why his percentages are bad. When Shaq is on your team, you should be shooting high percentages because you'll get so much single and null coverage; similar to having twin towers like Gasol/Odom or Bynum/Odom up front. But Kobe offsets that by freelancing and taking bad shots. All you need to do is watch the games to see this. He even did this in the Olympics when he shots his usual percentage (around 46%) despite being on an all star team. Wade & LeBron both shot around 60%, to give you an idea.
Pau and Shaq's attempts per game are pretty much the same with Kobe as they were on their previous teams before Kobe.
Kobe won 5 championships and 1 gold in Olympics and he needs a Clipper fan to teach him how to win? Is this the best joke ever? Wade and LeBron got their 60% shooting because Kobe's the primary defender. He locked down the best perimeter player in opposition and the two could play passing lane for fastbreak dunks. When they faced a good team like Spain and those dunks ain't there. They went back to Kobe in half court to take over the game. Remember in 04 and 06 tournaments, even scrubs like Arroyo had a field day against team USA and zone defense bothered them on offense.
I'll give you the Shaq argument, and actually Kobe played his best ball with Shaq until the 2004 team (when he had his worst season despite having the best teammates, because he didn't get the #shots he wanted). It was the Finals performance against Detroit where he really played the wrong way and given the stakes, that's a pretty big mistake. With the current team, there's no question he's taking way too many shots (don't just consider Pau, look at the other options too). I believe Kobe led the league is FGA/48 this year... should that really be the case given his efficiency and options on his team? Anyway, I've said all I can say and again this is totally the wrong thread for this. If you want to open up some sort of "where does Kobe rank" thread maybe I'll participate in that tomorrow (although I'll just regurgitate the same arguments I've made here). The last thing we need is for guys like douchebug to ruin this thread about Miami & Dallas with their usual fanboi rhetoric.

I just wanna say this was the biggest brickfest i've ever seen. Horrible game to watch. It's just about who bricked more than the other.
Just watched the game. Both teams didn't shoot well but that was some serious team defense played by Dallas down the stretch. Kidd was his usual amazing self and Chandler was a beast. Holy cow. And how smart was it for Rick Carlisle to go with Stevenson at the 3 spot instead of Marion in the fourth quarter? I'm guessing he saw it was possible to guard James with Stevenson, and having Stevenson spotting up at the offensive end opened up the floor for Nowitzki. Win or lose, Carlisle is coaching one hell of a series. Can Nowitzki get healthy with just one day of rest? IMO Dallas is going to have to win Game 5 if they want a chance to win the finals. Staving off two elimination games in Miami is just too much to overcome.

I believe it is fine for Rockets fans to have a favorite in these finals, albeit it might be choice of the lesser of two evils, if you will. I am pulling for Dallas, notwithstanding its hateful owner. For me, watching this series, you cannot get the feeling that it is David v. Goliath, and we all know many fans pull for the underdog.

He probably crossed the line somewhere at 1:38 and got fouled by LeBron around 1:39, but it is obvious that he touched it before crossing into the backcourt.
Actually, it's possible from the court logo (seen at 1:34) that the line is the three-point line. I thought he touched it in the frontcourt during the live play, but I could've been mistaken. Seeing as how nobody else caught that, I'm probably wrong and it's the three-point line.
