Someone should make a gif of the Dirk flop on the rebound at the end of the game. It was between 1-2 minutes left in the 4th, Dirk got the rebound and Wade tapped the ball at the peak. Dirk fell to the floor.

Flopping happens on both these teams and it's really despicable, no matter who does it.

What it means is that when a team's back is against the wall, they tend to play more aggressively which usually leads to a better result. Combine that with being the favored team and at home and (if you believe as much) extra ref love then you have a pretty compelling argument. Don't ask me, ask Vegas, who will set the Heat up for with their biggest spread thus far should they come home down 3-2.

Also, Perkins is good but he is not the reason that the Celtics got blown out. Come on. I'm an avid Laker hater and even I saw who was the better team that night.

If you want to look at it more logically, say the team with HC is a 70% favorite to win the game between these two teams. In that case, we'd have a roughly 50% chance for Dallas to win 1/2 when both games are factored in.

Barea is a big violator too. That guy seems like he's bouncing off walls the whole game.

What the hell happened to LeBron? The Finals look like the 10 Cleveland/Boston series all over again. Has West been calling Gloria lately?

    Very good!

Chris Bosh must be furious at LeBron right now for sucking it up. They could have used that MAX contract to get some good SF role players like Marion or Stevenson!

His teammates need to get the ball to LeBron in better spots, instead of way out there having to beat triple teams all by himself!

Clippy why do u hate on Kobe so much? when him and Tim Duncan have been the 2 best players in the league the past decade. I'm not a lebron fan at all but even I think it's borderline r****ded to say he's not one of the top 3 players in the NBA an a future 1st ballot hall of famer. To each his own bit iv clearly seen u dog ppl for not agreeing with u that Kobe Bryant is overhyped and plays bad in the finals saying they dnt understand basketball. That's a little childish dnt u think. Lebrons a great player but if ur gonna say Kobe is overhyped the exact same thing could be said about lbj. Which I dnt think is true either but it does hold more merit seeing as the guy has no post season hardware yet and is about to finish his 8th or 9th season? Now all that could change but so far he's deft been the 3rd or even 4th best player so far in the finals, bosh is actually playing like a legit allstar pf finally.

he's almost like a better version of bibby in these playoffs. 2 old pg's who are on their last legs yet who have been surprisingly effective on D by using the team D extremely well. neither guy can stay in front of their man but they seem to back off just the right amount and funnel them to help perfectly. i mean kidd is stopping superstars and bibby didn't get beat by rondo or rose at all and bibby has been pretty respectable against barea. looks like it's going to get kidd and bibby's ex-teammate peja a ring. maybe they should even try bibby in the 4th just to see if he'd hit a jumper.

spoelstra might have to try to spread the floor a little more in the 4th instead of going with that "free agency 5" lineup. that was great against the bulls where they needed all of the toughness and rebounding they could get, but against a mavs zone D that isn't going to let lebron and wade inside in the 4th, having mike miller as the only floor-spreader isn't working (i know haslem and bosh can hit jumpers but not the 3's you really need to open it up). i know you have to take dirk's best defender (haslem) off the court to do that but it's not like haslem is actually stopping dirk during these runs. he just lets him get layups. and the offense is just grinding to a halt.

yeah, but that's not going to happen. the mavs are due for a good shooting game (4-18 on 3's?) and wade is due to not shoot 65% in a game. lebron is done for this series and bosh had his good shooting half for the finals. unless bibby, chalmers, and miller make about 12 3's they can't hold off the mavs surges. and really, what are the odds a reeling miami is going to have the resolve to win 2 in miami if down 3-2?

Well, if LeBron really is done, then I agree that the Heat are done too. I'm hoping he has some kind of minor illness or depression or something and can get past it for Thursday so we can at least see both teams at near full strength.

The Mavs are shooting badly because they are fatigued from the physical defense the whole game long. Although Dirk did miss more gimmies than usual due to the fever or what not.

I only do it to piss off the Kobe fan club parade, which is the single most immature group on the Internet. I don't have anything against Kobe; I just don't think he's that great. He's had a good, long career, but in my book he's a volume player like Iverson and 'Nique.

Yeah, it seemed pretty weird. I really thought the Heat would win this game. I still pick them in 6, but not if Lerbon goes for ocho pathetico again.

If the Mavs win the next game, they will win it all.

You sure are down on the heat for being a Miami fan. The heat still have a great chance winning this, their defense is too good and lebron isn't going to score in the single digits again.

If that's how you feel, fine. I don't see any blowouts in game 6 unless the team down 3-2 gets tight. If the Mavs go up 3-2, that shows me the Heat don't have it in them to dominate the Mavs. Except for maybe game 1, both teams have played "with their backs to the wall" and I expect that to continue on.

I knew that LeBron's hot shooting in the first three series would run out eventually. He was nailing everything beyond the arc before and now he thinks he can just sit back and launch threes when he is not that good of a shooter. He needs to get back to being aggressive but give the Mavs D credit they do a good job rotating.

He even denied Durant from getting the ball a few times. I was impressed when Bron tried to blow past Kidd and Kidd stayed in front of him forcing Bron to post up and pass.

LeBron didn't even try to be aggressive when Kidd guarded him.

You really think he is comparable to Iverson, a guy that shot 42% and below for the majority of his prime. Sometimes you have some fair criticisms of Kobe but other times you make ridiculous comparisons like this one.

Seen in the Heat locker room postgame- DWade looking like his boyfriend had just broken up with him(his eyes looked like he'd been doing some crying), CBosh biting his fingernails and staring into space for a while with a confused look on his face, LeBron looking more composed than the others but sitting at his locker saying "*****" under his breath.

Then they all composed themselves for their various press conferences. I think they know this was one that should have been seized, especially with Dirk being ill.
