From what I've read, West has pretty much the best playoff reputation of anyone. He was kind of a hybrid PG/SG though at only 6'2". I think it's hard to really compare guys from the 60s to those today. If you factor in playoff performance, Wade is def. right there behind MJ. His Finals numbers, while small on sample size, are second only to Shaq.
Also guys, get the thread back on topic. I said top 3 behind MJ and Kobe and thats what JVG and Marc Jackson said also. Only one person put him above Kobe in this thread and everybody is overreacting. Kobe and MJ are top 2. PERIOD. So where is Wade? Above Drexler? Above Jerry West? Who else was a great shooting guard? Reggie Miller maybe?
Think Wade is top 5 SG of all time, can't really say he's top 3 until he wins a few more championship. I mean MJ has lift the bar so high and Kobe set the current standard, so Wade can't really be better than those 2 now. He's up there with Jerry West and maybe Clyde.
I think it is a legitimate question. Wade has accomplished a lot Iverson has a MVP award but Wade has a Finals MVP and a championship. Thing is though that guys like Iverson and Miller carried their teams. Iverson especially with little help. A simply Wade led team has gone nowhere really.
If anyone can really honestly say that Wade is better than Kobe... than they should be shot in the face period.
only time will tell. if wade can continue getting to the playoffs and putting up these numbers, no doubt.

Drexler was unbelievable. On of the reasons people forget about how great he was was because he didn't talk or have the same charisma as Jordan. And the fact that Jordan has the rings. But Drexler was also a product of a team without any stars but himself and he carried that team to the finals 2. He got to the finals before Jordan did. I have grown in respect for Drexler's game over the years.
