he definitely tipped it to himself, but i don't know if he was over the midcourt yet or not. replay didn't show an angle to tell

it's amazing how he went from a dominant playoff run where he just destroyed the mvp to now averaging 17 ppg in the finals and looking confused and passive and like he's never played before.

also let terry get passed him way too many times and his closeouts were not nearly as controlled as they usually are tonight. just all in all a terrible game.

but let's face it, the heat as a team just sucked all through the first 60 or so games with leads in the 4th because their offense would just become terrible and it's suddenly come back and that's why it's 2-2 instead of 4-0, even with lebron's terrible game, and i'm not sure who gets that blame. spoelstra was terrible for not calling a TO, wade did nothing to solve the problem, lebron did nothing to solve, bosh did nothing to stem the tide, the role players always seem panicked and scared to death in those situations. i'm not sure what they do and why they just stop running the offense but it just cost them the championship.

Say what? Whoever wins game 5 takes control. We've already seen that home-court doesn't amount to a hill of beans in this Finals. I can easily see the Heat choking up late in game 6 if they are down 3-2.

Make no mistake: The winner of game 5 is definitely in control. It doesn't mean the series is over, but if the team down 3-2 gets a little wobbly during game 6, uh oh. I can definitely see the Heat getting wobbly if they lose game 5.

If Perkins hadn't got hurt early in game 6 and the Lakers had still closed them out (which I think is very doubtful), you might have a point.

something interesting. over half the votes on this poll have the next 2 games being won by the same team. out of everyone who voted it goes to a game 7, almost 2 times as many people thing the mavs will beat the heat

Right, that's what got me. His offensive game was awful, obviously, but he played like crap on defense too. Marion scored on him in a variety of ways and when he switched on Terry he got abused there too. I didn't understand why Spo had him out there for almost the whole game when he clearly wasn't all there. He had a couple of nice passes (including a great full-court pass to Wade to setup the Wade chokejob at the line), but that's about it.

I'm really wondering if he's hurt but doesn't want to turn this into another elbowgate. Either that or he's throwing some kind of passive-aggressive tantrum.

This arguing about who people cheer for in this series is stupid. Stfu and let people cheer for who they cheer for.

As long as you cheer for the Rockets when they play you are a Rockets fan. Same people bashing others probably was hoping the Rockets started losing to get a higher draft pick smh.

    Yeah I'm mad

Huh? I'm not even rooting for the Heat (or Dallas).. I just want to see good basketball and what LeBron did tonight was not good basketball.

I didn't think the Celtics had control after they won game 5 last year (and posted as much, I said it was 50/50 but that the C's had to win game 6 because JC would be in the house in game 7). I don't really think Perkins would have made a difference either since Wallace played great in game 7.

If Dallas wins game 5, I see the Heat blowing them out in game 6 (you'll see lots of ref love) setting up an epic game 7. That's what I hope happens, too.

After tonight's game guys will be justified ripping LeBron, because he actually played like garbage.

    Carry on......

In a hard fought 7 games, of course... The only post season series so far that Miami has lost twice...

If Lebron isn't injured, then there's something off about that guy's mind. Maybe all that talk about his performance in last year's series against Boston wasn't him being passive aggressive or any reaction to West and his Mom. Maybe he just isn't built for big pressure situations.

Lebron has evolved into Shane Battier.

Nifty pre-game huddle talk balanced with a healthy dose of offensive handicap during the game.

    Run to the corner!

Except its not the ball that he has to wait for, its the media which will chew him down.

Could be, but he played big in the Celtics and Bulls games everyone picked the Heat to lose. I don't know what's up either.

Weaknesses get exposed as the playoffs progress. If the Heat don't have another adjustment or two to make against the Mavs' late-game defense, they will have a tough time winning. Except for Wade's dunk, it seemed like every possession on offense down the stretch was tedious. The passes weren't as crisp, there was little movement and the Mavs were a step or two quicker than earlier in the game.

It'll be six if they rebound in game 5. I expect them to win.
