That is pretty impressive by Adelman. Especially looking at what he has had to work with

Yeah, I guess barely missing the playoffs with the bunch of scrubs we put out there to play was not good enough for Les and Morey. Pathetic.

do you think any of rudy's teams compared to the talent level that we have right now, (say, 1999-2002) or to any of the other depleted rosters the other coaches worked with?

how do you think rudy t, jvg, or fitch, would perform with this same exact roster? how well do you think adelman would have done with rudy's or jvg's teams?

This is easy. By whoever they had last.

If they can best utilize the talent they are given. For instance, winning 55 games with Tmac/Yao isn't some achievement. It is the bare minimum for keeping your job.

Taking Aaron Brooks, Trevor Ariza, Shane Battier, Luis Scola and Chuck Hayes to a winning record could not be done by any other Rockets coach in history IMO.

LOL !! i don't know if i would go that far. when the best rockets season ever is 58 wins, i don't think it's fair to call 55 the bare minimum. i would say 50.

2007-08 was a fun season. the bitter ending wipes away the good memories for alot of people, but i remember some good times.

really ?? you don't think rudy could get 42 wins with that roster ?? not even jvg ??

i think any of the top 5 rockets coaches could have done it. maybe better.

If this was actually true, Adelman wouldn't have the highest winning % in team history. He would be .500.

i think it's interesting that the rankings for playoff total and playoff % are exactly the same, while in the regular season they vary wildly.

in his first year he had yao and tmac for half a year before yao went down.

in his second year he had tmac for less than half a year.

in the last two seasons it was kmart and scola.

Yes. This is much more accurate. With Kmart and Scola alone, he was .500.

Great! I love Rudy. I'm failing to understand why I should disrespect Adelman based on the data presented here.

As a Rockets fan I'm proud enough of the past few seasons and I loved winning a playoff series. Hoping for much better with McHale. It's the past, so no reason to hold a vendetta against a whole swath of posters like you do... Maybe one day you can just blend in to the crowd and have objective discussion.
