It has probably something to do with
Wolverine being able to heal FASTER than anyone else... maybe not aging at all?

But... just asking: Can y'all F*$#*&# comic NERDS just watch a movie without questioning other movie continuity crap? Please? :p

This movie was good. Who gives a CRAP about other X-Men movies? Then don't watch it, mister comic book expert...

It's always nice to open a thread with a Swoly post blocked out because of my block list. It's always disappointing when someone quotes him. :(

I feel like the past X-men movies have made professor X look kind of useless. Like I understand that he doesen't like using his powers on other mutants but seriously, having the ability to stop time? That's crazy.

Strongest mutant in any of the movies?

Wolverine's ability to heal and withstand practically any hit it impressive but I'd have to go with Magneto since Wolverine is basically made out of metal.

Everytime I see professor X's name, Xavier, I keep pronouncing it like the Spanish pronunciation: ha-vee-err.

Then I think about prof X being Mexican and talking with a Pedro accent.

    Phoenix.

Magneto and Prof. X are pretty close seconds.

Isn't that what they attempted to show in Last Stand, although rather cheesy, with the whole "Hey I'm a level 2... oh noes old dude is a level 5 paladin! I needs more mana"

Really liked the flick. Obviously there were some continuity issues that make nerd heads explode, but I can look past most of them. I kind of feel though like they could have used other, lesser known mutants as the back up since they are focusing on Xavier and Magneto anyway.

Also, why is it so difficult to get anyone to play their characters accents? The comics have global characters and the movies have severely downplayed that for the most part. It is one of the things that gives the characters their identities and depth.

As most have said, the actors for Magneto and Xavier were stand outs and made the film great.

As for Wolverine, he is one of the oldest. His healing power keeps him from aging anywhere near a normal rate.

Saw this tonight. Best x-men yet. Loved the 60s spy angle.

Why was Havok not a 60s guy? Hair was wrong and at one point he said 'badass'.

Marvel doesn't have any control of the X movie rights. It's all fox.

He doesn't stop time. He just freezes people's minds or shuts them down.

If my geek memory serves me right. Wolverine was born in the 1880's. He didn't develop his mutant power, including bone claws, until his teens and his mother might also have been a mutant.

I don't know how ANYONE could be a good guy with his kind of powers. I mean, not even use it just a little bit for some fun? At least travel to Hollywood and freeze a whole lot of hot actresses' minds. Or control Bosh's mind and have him block LerBon as he's shooting a potential championship winning 3 in the last seconds of game 7.

That's the difference between being a superhero and a supervillian.

    F*** OFF, sir.

I kid, man. I don't give a CRAP what you think or whom you "ignore." It makes it fun when I'm in your mind a'la Xavier ;).
I agree with this. Is healing really the same as staying looking young for a long time?

I always have this problem when he does this. Talking about putting people's lives in danger or even death.

Can't believe this movie cost $160Mil. Where did the hell all that money went into because the SFX was pretty bad.

Oh Hai Gais! I'm late to the party as always, but just got around to seeing this.

As one of the ex presidents would say, Epical! After going through the last 30 minutes, I don't see how anyone could NOT be on Magneto's side. **** I would be too! This movie kind of made root for the wrong side now.

It's such a damn shame they got rid of Darwin so damn soon. His character has better powers than the screaming kid and the spitting fairy. What useless characters they are.

Also the chick mind reader is more powerful than Charles and Kevin Bacon was far more powerful than Eric. How the hell did those 2 characters get beat???
