Here's my take: Chris Paul Defensive SG who can spot up for 3's (Someone like Courtney Lee) Defensive SF who can spot up for 3's (Someone like Batum) Kevin Love Dwight Howard To beat a team like the Heat, you need good defense, good rebounding, and great ball movement with lots of 3 point threats because they rotate so well and pack in the paint so well. With this team, you have superior rebounding (seriously, who's going to get a rebound from two of the best rebounders since Dennis Rodman?), and great defense (I know Love is atrocious but with solid perimeter defense and Dwight in the middle, he can be disguised, Dwight made a team that had Rashard Lewis at the 4 a top defense), and the best PG in the game distributing to three 3 point threats and himself being a great shooter.
Everybody says the Heat have 2 of the top 5 players in the NBA... Then the Heat-slayer must have the other 3. 1. Kobe Bryant 2. Dwight Howard 3. Chris Paul
I'd suit up Wilt/Russell Russell/McHale Pippen Kobe Stockton Kobe's no longer a top 5 player in this league. He's in danger of following out of the top ten if he hasn't already.
Chris Paul (I take him over Derrick Rose because of his craftiness) Zach Randolph Dwight Howard I think the CP3 to Randolph pick and roll is unstoppable. Add that with Dwight getting deep position in the paint and you have a defensive nightmare for Miami. I'd put Shane Battier and Ray Allen on the wings, both of them being cerebral shooters and Battier capable of making the big 2 work for their shots.
