businesses around campus have a strict policy about not using their property as a parking place only. Which is rightfully so. I actually parked at IHOP because I was going inside. While I was parking I did notice some wierd ass b**** all the way on the other side of the other side of the street doing her best undercover impression. I was a little wierded out but after coming outside I notice my car is gone.

When I found out my car got towed I freaked out and guess who I saw at their office? The same woman. Basically spying on drivers and trying to get whatever excuse to tow their cars. I was pissed I told her I was using the parking lot because I was actually going to the place. She told me I couldn't prove it even If I looked like I was going in that I would have to call a lawyer.

I can't remember being so furious, how does an uninvolved 3rd party stick their nose anywhere and demand hundreds of dollars.

Thats like me Towing their tow truck and asking them to pay me. And I agree with the comments above, their all assholes.

These people should just kill themselves because I can't imagine them having happy home lives.

This. I've always wondered how these guys don't get into wrecks themselves. Is there some sort of statistics where the towers get towed? lol

She was probably a spotter. I used to live in an apartment that towed, and I would listen to those guys with a radio scanner. The spotters would walk through the complex looking for parking stickers, and call in violating cars. I could hear them radio-ing to tow truck operators down the road, which car they should tow.

They would actually wait around, watching for someone to park illegally, even if it was for 5 minutes.

The one time I needed a tow truck, they took like friggin 2 hours to come. My place was only a quarter mile from there and I think they charged me $100 or something. This was like 2004-5.

Another time I used a AAA tow truck to get my car to a shop down the street, probably not even a quarter mile. My premium went up like a mother.... I was pissed. Insurance and tow trucks sucks. Not much of an "insurance" when you have to cover any expense that went out even though you've been paying them exorbitant fees every frickin month.

Tow truck companies have a bad reputation (for a reason) but there are few honest companies and drivers out there. Yes there are.
