Yeah... that makes total sense. The way to beat the Big 3 is to form a Big 5. I'm pretty sure you can throw together any 5 All-Stars at each respective position and beat the Heat.
New York in 2012 CP3 Melo Amare ...either way the future looks bright for some competition, but if the Heat still win it'll be fun to see how good the Heat and LeBron can be.
This. You don't look to counter Wade and James head one. You find a group of guys that exploit the Heat's weaknesses. They don't have a real point guard so CP3 would dominate that matchup. Plus, the Heat's weakness on offense is that they have no team concept. They simply let LBJ or Wade get the ball in iso. On the other hand, CP3 would set up the offense and make sure they got good ball movement and ran plays. They've got no one at the 5 so Howard would dominate his matchup and could rotate on defense and shut down the paint. Plus, can you imagine the number of alee-oops from CP3 to Howard? Then, you need a closer on the order of Wade and James who can matchup at the end of a game shot for difficult shot. Dirk is that guy. He's willing to take the last shot when everyone else is scared to and can make crazy, demoralizing shots. You'd still need a couple of defenders at the 2 and 3.
John Starks Joe Dumars Dennis Rodman Rick Mahorn Bill Laimbeer I would knock the **** out of em relentlessly
Guys. It's not about superstars. It's about intangibles. I'd clone Shane Battier about 30 times. 15 to fill out the roster, 5 to put on the bench as coaching + staff,3 to referee the game, 3 to be broadcasters, and the rest to work the cameras.
That team would average 35ppg for the season. Pretty hard to score points when all 5 of your players are lined up on the corner 3 point line. The rim would commit suicide out of boredom.
Whoa, that's a team that beats anybody. How about Wilt, Russell, Barry, "Pistol," and "O" on the bench?
Lmfao... that created a funny picture in my head. All the Battiers lined up at the corner, no one to inbound the ball.
Imagine a team of 5 Chuck Hayes. That team would win 2-0 every game and average 100 rebounds, 20 steals, and 20 blocks a game.
Chuck Hayes couldnt get 20 blocks in a season... What makes you think 5 of em could average 20 a game???.... I like the thought but shooting guards and jump shooting forwards would make it like target practice
I don't get why you people need to get a Dwight, a Notwizki, a Chris Paul etc to build a Heat Slayer. All you need to do is, add Kobe Bryant to the Heat immediately the team will self destruct with internal power struggle!
