So the Heat will win it like I said at the begining of the Lebron trio/decision/Bosh signing propoganda? Neato. How unpredictable.

Yeah, because we are TOTALLY on the verge of being contenders. We're rebuilding dude. It takes YEARS to rebuild possibly a decade or more at the least. By then the big three will be old and washed up like the Celtics.
We couldn't have picked a better time to rebuild either.

That was what was so interesting about the Mavs at the end of Game 2. Yeah, Dirk made a bunch of clutch shots, but it was also about how the Mavs as a team ran the staggered pick-and-roll plays which got them the open looks. It was team offense played to perfection.

I was surprised Carlisle didn't run it down the stretch in Game 3.

Kobe wasn't a universal top 3 player at the time, and remind me again - who did the Lakers have that compared to Bosh?

The only reason that it's comparable is that Shaq was just that dominant.

Also, Kobe was drafted by the Lakers - when Shaq joined that team he wasn't near the player he would become.

BTW - GJ using the most dominant duo in the past 15 years as a frame of reference. Just proving my point.

Dallas defensive gameplan is da same as everyone elses who ever played lebron in a playoff series; do everything you can to stop lebron n let da rest of his team beat you.

Dats why it looked like he "choked" in 07 finals, entire team defenses are thrown on him

Zach passes the ball. Dallas makes three passes before Dirk even gets the ball.

Wade on the other hand, dribbles at the top of the key for 10 seconds and then shoots a hero shot. Lebron does the same thing.

No ball movement, nothing. Just hero shots.

The finals for the next 5 years basically we decided when Bosh/LBJ signed their contracts. No matter the state of the Rockets - I think that it's wrong and it sets a dangerous precedent.

There have been plenty of occasions where Memphis isolated Zach Randolph and he dribbled the ball a few times before taking a contested tough stepback jumper.

Umm... they didn't "join" up. Kobe was not a contender for MVP when Shaq arrived.

actually, Kobe wasn't drafted by the Lakers..... Charlotte Hornets no?
I would compare Odom to Bosh, even thought they have a slightly different game.
Both are X-Factors and could potentially take over the game.

Kobe was not drafted by the Lakers.

Anyway, I could probably contribute more than Peja. Well, not really, as I have one surgically repaired knee and am nowhere near a world-class athlete.

Not having Haywood stung the Mavs tonight. And Barea wasn't any better than Peja either. Is Carlisle gonna have to pray that he gets contributions from someone other than Jason Terry?

If Rockets had LeBron, Wade, SCOLA, and scrubs. We'd all be saying how fair it is. Double standards are fun.

On the other hand, James is averaging 6 assists and Wade 5 assists this series.

In Game 3, James had 9 assists. Only Kidd had more with 10.

You can't really say the Heat play a pretty offensive style, but when you have two of the top players in the league, it makes sense to get them to score or make plays the majority of the time.

If I remember though Kobe, it was rumored, said he wouldn't play for the Hornets or anybody but the Lakers. He forced the Hornets to trade him.

not dismissing the Mavs but the biggest future problem for this Heat team will be keeping it together. the media is really stirring the "who's the man" issue, it'll only get worse ...

    great players have huge egos.

As long as their winning it won't become an issue. Unlike Shaq and Kobe these guys are friends off the court and even Shaq and Kobe were able to squeeze out 3 titles.
