Dirk was +12 and Dallas still lost.

He scored as many points as the next three highest scorers on his team combined.

    Ridiculous.

Alright then. Screw our Rockets-Lakers 2009 series. Even though our team played with heart, even though they held the Lakers to seven games, even though we fought back without Yao Ming and with a young crew playing their hearts out...

It doesn't matter because we lost game 7 by 40 points and the Rockets suck. Lmao.

I'll say this. If he had another superstar with him. Dallas and the Heat would split championships over the next decade or so (Which is horrifying; the concept of Dallas winning championships).

It says a lot when the Heat would rather give Barea a wide open 3 than a contested look for Nowitzki.

The Mavs bench didn't give them much tonight. The Heat bench players all had +/- ratios of +4 or better.

And that's although their whole game plan was to stop him and let the others beat them. He was let down by his teammates today...Kidd was alright, Barea so-so and Chandler was ok. Marion missed too many baskets, made some dumb plays (e.g., I believe Dirk's last turnover was actually Marion's fault) and Terry just didn't hit enough shots.

Wade has been the best player in this series so far. Haslem has defended Dirk pretty good. He is making Dirk work that is why I don't understand why Haslem was not guarding Dirk on the last possession of Game 2.

Everyone who started watching the Rockets after the 04-05 season are probably the ones rooting for Dallas anyway...

Caron Butler? LMAO, he's about as good as Shawn Marion. They cancel each other out.

Sorry, regardless of what Dallas has done in the past, the Heat in my eyes are even worse. They stand for everything that's wrong with this game. Imagine if Hakeem left in the middle of his prime to play with Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan in Chicago.

    Same ****.

What a cheap way to get rings. Simply disgusting.

So yall are living on 1 series with 2 two stars, Ming and Tracy, who barely played together themselves in the playoffs.

That is a weak rivalry if you asked me.

Now if it were SA fans hating Dallas I'd understand.

Old Houston Oiler fans hate the Cowboys also makes sense.

It's not cheap at all. It's legal and they are sacrificing a huge portion of their bench roster for starpower.

They aren't unstoppable. Dallas has proved that with a resilient bench; they can possibly win this series or give the Heat a run for their money.

    I feel the opposite.

I HATE the Heat, but my hatred for Dallas massively trumps that (My hate list goes: Dallas, Miami/Utah, Lakers, in that order).

I just can't believe anyone would cheer from Dallas and be a Rockets fan, makes me feel like they aren't even Rockets fans at all.

    We are division rivals.
Mostly I hate the Mavericks because of Mark Cuban. His whining cost us the series.

Just curious, do you remember the names of the refs who were responsible for jobbing the Rockets in that series? Do you hate any member of that ref team when they show up in other games?

I mean Cuban I can understand, but why hate a team when they had nothing to do with how a game was called, and especially when IIRC only two players remain on the current Dallas team from back then? Or am I missing the point?

that's been lebron's MO all season, and probably part of the reason there has been so little (as far an anyone knows) friction between them. when wade gets going, lebron lets him have his time instead of trying to show he's the best player on the team. and they can't both shoot on the same clutch possession. lebron has done it all postseason, wade was going well tonight and finding his way to the rim and had a bigger advantage, no reason he shouldn't get the ball. i'd certainly like lebron to play better than he has but after the way he carried wade last series, i don't want him gunning for finals mvp and hurting the team.

and to wade's credit, he doesn't force it a ton when he's not doing well and lebron is. of course lebron would have looked better at the end if people weren't landing on him while he was shooting and giving him missed field goals instead of free throws.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. Tough luck. Fact of the matter is the series did go to a game seven and they did get blown out. And can't blame Cuban. We would love if Les did something like this. We would also love if Les spent money like Cuban.
