I'm sure Rudy T is a Hall of Famer in our hearts and mind, but officially he's not in the Naismith HOF. :)

You're right and my bad. I assumed that he was. Of course, he should be, both as a coach and as a player. Then again, so should Guy Lewis. Sometimes, justice can be in short supply.

Even though McHale played for Boston, it was a different era and different team. I don't know why some of you guys made a big deal out of it.

Honestly? I'd be less confident about things. Hiring a former Rocket would smell more like a PR gimmick. Drexler tried to break into coaching and stunk. Elie's bounced around but hasn't generated much buzz. Cassell is trying his hand but hasn't demonstrated much yet.

McHale's done this before as a HC, he's willingly signed off on letting Morey build him a dream team staff.....I like what they're doing. The Pacers used the same model with Bird...and that helped produce Rick Carlisle.

I think fans are putting too much on McHale, when it's really going to come down to the lead assistants.
