The actor who plays magneto from the looks of the trailer seemed like he just outshines every cast member in the acting dept... not sure if the guy is british but british actors just owns the role...
I really enjoyed the movie even though I am not the biggest fan of X-men. The storyline of X and Magneto just has so much potential in it. It got good and evil along with great powers. The movie also connected well with the storyline from previous x-men. I didn't like the powers of the other mutants. Anyways i would love to see that Erick/Magneto actor back with the next x-men movie. He was really good.
yea that guy was just damn good. That quote they also show in the trailer where he goes "Never again" sends chills. The magneto/xavier relationship unraveling was the best part.
I though X2 was a little bit better, but not by much. I thought it was pretty awesome either way. Fassbender and McAvoy were just pro. Such impressive performances by both of them. Made me wish they just went along with X-Men Origins: Magneto because those few Erik the Nazi hunter scenes were so damn badass.
Pretty much breaks down all the flaws between the last two movies. http://www.91pan.com/post/how-can-e...ovie-than-she-does-in-xmen-origins-wolverine/
Fantastic X-Men movie, pretty much what I'd hoped for the 1st trilogy to have looked like. Almost felt like they rebooted the franchise with this movie except for the obvious items that came up throughout the movie. I understand they are going for a new trilogy, much like SW, but I would be perfectly fine if they continue telling this story rather then having to stick with the first trilogy's construct. Edit - Just read the above post, makes perfect sense and makes things fit nicely.
I haven't seen it yet, but at what point does Charles become bald? According to the original trilogy, Charles and Eric were still friends after he went bald, as can be seen by the scene where they visit Jean. Does this mean the sequels will have other enemies and them fighting together?
Very enjoyable, entertaining movie. If you have stayed with the series to this point (and are willing to overlook some continuity issues) you will thoroughly enjoy this one. Worth seeing in theaters if you meet the above criteria.
They kind of rivals more than enemies So even when they are against each other. . they are somewhat friends Rocket River
Saw it and did enjoy it. It had its moment but X-Men United is still the best out of the 4. This would be rank far second. Sadly all the cool fight scenes from Kick Ass was missing in this movie from the same director. The opening scene and the end fighting scene of X-Men United was just superior to this movie. Sadly no epic battle at the end. But I did enjoy the story of how it all started.
Yeah these guys never stop being friends but they just have different opinions. It was a great movie IMO... The writing was awesome and the acting was great.
I think i have to see it again. Not sure how I feel about it. The Magneto casting was on point. Magneto has always been my favorite comic book character, they do him justice in this one. They picked some odd X-Men characters and villains in this one. I guess Magneto/Xavier carried this one though, meaning they can use Scott Summer, Jean Grey, etc... at a high level in the next one. After seeing Thor, which I think really raised the bar as far as what you can do with a superhero movie (you know Fox was jealous when they saw what Marvel Studios did visually with Thor) and also Transformers, I'm hoping we get Sentinels at some point. They're such an important X-Men enemy, since they're created by humans.
Spoiler plot holes that made me crazy after watching it. Without thinking of the first 3 movies existing it's a great film. Not going to get into the comic plot holes but just the movie plot holes. Still thought it was a good movie but...... Spoiler -Beast turns blue in this movie, but in the second X-men he is seen on a TV in the background as a human. And he's British in the 3rd.......The actor who played him in Orgins is British.....I don't why not have him British. -Mystique knew Charles the whole time but doesn't seem to know him in the first one. -They say Havoc's name Scott Summers which is Cyclops's younger brother...ok I'll let that be, fine whatever. -Charles and Erik meet up with Wolverine and even if Wolverine doesn't remember Charles, Charles should have remembered Wolverine. -White Queen is in Wolverine Origins as a child..... There is a couple other minor ones but for the most part it was a pretty good movie.
Here's my movie plot hole issue: Spoiler Xavier erases Moira's mind to hind where they are, and later in the original trilogy he addresses world leaders as an expert on mutants, hiding that he himself is a mutant. Yet in this film it is established that the CIA hooked him up with the XMen and know he is a mutant. The head of the CIA specifically saw him use his mutant powers. How do they not remember that as Xavier lives at his family home and pretends not to be a mutant going forward?
Spoiler Oh yeah I knew I forgot one. I went with my brother and after he was telling me he didn't want to think about the original movie cause it would hurt is brain how there were so many plot-hole and I asked him about the opening in the first movie where he addresses mutants to world leaders and nobody remembers him being a mutant. He just looked at me with this stare
