Portland has cut a couple of good GMs, they'd be well-served to interview. Replacing d'Antoni with Adelman would also be advisable.
It must be nice to have so much money that you can afford to blatantly mismanage a property like the New York Knicks and not even care. Sure, James Dolan appears to be really dense, but he has to realize that the first Isiah era was a complete disaster. He is forced to put a good NBA guy in Donnie Walsh in power, the team begins to improve, and now he wants Isiah back. I guess he just wanted to use Walsh to get the team back to respectability so maybe even Isiah can milk a playoff appearance or two out of them.
Rick Adelman will become coach of the New York Knicks. Then in 3 years, he'll be saying "I came here to coach Amare, Carmelo and Billups, and I end up with Balkman, Fields and Turiaf"!
Supposedly Isiah has come out now and said that he has "no interest" in returning to the Knicks to replace Walsh. Obviously, that's a load of crap. Not long ago, he admitted that he thought about replacing Walsh "every single day of the week."
YESSSSSSSSSS! Too bad he got kicked out after he improved the team enough for them to make the playoffs next season. I'm hoping Isaiah finds a way to screw them up and get us a better pick.
I cant believe this is how they repay someone who took them from being an absolute joke and embarrassment to possible contenders in 3 years. That is a huge achievement and deserves much more rewards. To get below the cap so quick and then to nab two all stars is more then best result possible. No one but Miami had a chance at James or Wade. Dolan will regret this big time.
The Knicks got what they wanted out of this season. If they can get a GM (like say, Rich Cho) that really knows how to evaluate talent and fill in the gaps, they'll really be heading in the right direction. Of course, considering this is James Dolan we're talking about, that whole idea could be completely ruined by hiring Isaiah back.
LOL what are you talking about? Isiah thomas is about to get his old job back. The interim gm is isiah buddy, and Dolan clearly wants isiah back considering he just gave Walsh the classic "insulting offer" contract.
