    Dirk never played in Euroleague. Rubio isn't as big as the NBA claims he is. He's about 6-3 in shoes.

    The truth of the matter is, when teams are handicapped by giving their $$$ to elite point guards, the rest of the team is suffers worse than if that money was given to a more important position (pretty much the other four positions).

    Look how Dwight Howard's team has managed to stay competitive through the years and now look at Chris Paul. Deron Williams too.

    When your franchise is a PG, the peak of the team isn't that high. Plain and simple.

    But if you guess correctly, later on you can pretend you did!

    The future? Oh, I can tell you about the future.

    I don't want to argue with someone widely known to be obsessed with height (and argues on and on about it) but I just want to post this video and show how Rubio looks bigger and longer than both Rose and Curry (who are both listed as 6'3")

    He gave an interview where he even said he was 6-3 in shoes and he is not as tall as Navarro is. Also, the NBA exaggerates height.

    The point is he is taller and longer than Rose and Curry (who are two of the biggest PGs in the league)

    BTW I was in no way comparing Jennings to Rubio, they're completely different players(and Jennings will improve in due time).

    I was simply demonstrating his PPG disparity between the euroleague and the NBA, due to the pace of the game, and it being a lot more defensive oriented.

    Rose is 1,92 meters in shoes according to his draft measurement. The same height the Euroleague gives for Rubio in shoes.

    It doesn't matter what the numbers say. Use your eyes. He's clearly bigger than Rose in the video.

    Then Rose is no more than 6-1 to 6-2. The NBA exaggerates height.

    Jose Calderon is 6-3 according to the Euroleague, ACB, NBA.

    Euroleague Profile:

    http://www.euroleague.net/competition/players/showplayer?pcode=BDG&seasoncode=e2004

    190 = 6-3

    Spanish League Profile:

    http://www.acb.com/jugador.php?id=A5J

    190 = 6-3

    NBA Profile:

    http://www.nba.com/playerfile/jose_calderon/index.html

    Height: 6-3

    Calderon is taller than Ricky Rubio. Juan Carlos Navarro and Jose Calderon, both listed at 6-3 by the NBA........Navarro is either taller, or at least as tall as Rubio and Calderon is taller.

    Ricky Rubio is NOT as tall as people falsely claim he is.

    Calderon and Rubio standing next to each other. Calderon is taller. You are losing this argument.

    That picture is an old one. All you have to look at is, is the video + many other draft sites listing him as 6'4" (which is taller than 98% PGs in the league) All you have to do is use your eyes. That is, unless you're playing with me and continuing this pointless argument for your entertainment.

    Rubio is 6'4" tall and will be the next great NBA PG.

    I hope the Rox can pry him from Minny.

    Curry & Rose W/shoes; Ricky w/o shoes.

    Wow, 4 years?

    A year of stagnation, another year of regression. The 2 years he's been in Barcelona. 2008/09 was his best season, his last year in Badalona.

    In fact, Rubio didn't do bad at the 1st half of 09/10 season.

    Rubio has gone through a tremendous bump of confidence the last year and a half. The reasons are long to explain and you must know Barcelona's roster and especially his coach to understand his situation.

    Anyhow, that's a problem that can be solved with a change of environment. Not others. But I don't think it's fair to judge Ricky based on what he's done this year.

    I will say it again. He is not as tall as you claim he is and there has been ample evidence provided by me to prove it. All you have done is say "he looks taller than Rose in a video".

    Sorry, but anyone who has actually seen Rubio plays knows he is not as big as you claim he is.

    OHMSS, you are probably, imo, correct about Rubio. That said, you can come across as an elitist prick and that is why posters give you hell. I actually do respect your specialized knowledge, but think you would be better served giving more balanced opines on Rubio's NBA potential. In truth, his court vision will translate; and, his lack of ability to create in space will hamper his performance. But should he get with competent NBA trainers and develop physically, he COULD become a serviceable NBA point guard.

    Comparisons to Rondo, from other posters, are ludicrous. Rondo has a grasp of NBA tempo that is second to none.
