I'm not sure about attention w****, but it's rare you find somebody this naive about BBS norms (you'd think he would've been lurking a while and noticed that this was not typical) and internet culture in general in this day and age. The job application comparison was perfect, I feel like this dude is trying to date my daughter or something. Chill bro, nobody needs or wants to know your full name (esp. every time you post), nor do we much care about helping you craft a career in journalism. (and even if we did care, how the hell would we even go about doing that?) Actually, forget the job applicant comparison... this actually reminds me of a kid who was home-schooled K-8 all the sudden getting thrown into a public high school. That being said, welcome to Clutch Fans. (ready your flame shield)
Welcome brobama. Hope you aren't another troll like the recent increase in Heat trollage. Best of luck navigating the deep and dirty waters of the NBA (petri) dish.
Will, This is the internet, where saying something stupid is applauded, where people hide behind keyboards, and being anonymous, a place for the weak to pretend to be strong, a place where the unsuccessful dregs of life have the same voice as the successful folks. This is the internet, it is a wily beast, one that can not be tamed, nor should it.....don't take criticism to heart, just enjoy cheering on your favorite team and laugh a little along the way. DD
Damn, I gave minor information about myself so you would know where I came from. The thread was moved into the "Hangout" portion of the board so I do not see the problem. Job application? Wtf are you talking about dude. Home school kid going to public high school? Don't insult me like that. Maybe your just a little mad that your seeing a kid go for something big when you probably just took the easy road out.
No, trolling is not one of my characteristics. However, I have found myself pulling for the Heat for some reason. The last few weeks have been difficult for me. Everyone in my fraternity house is either from Dallas or OKC, so that series was hell. Now, I am still dealing with annoying Dallas fans. Thanks for the kind response
Welcome to the board. If I might give you one piece of advice, it is to not use an internet message board (especially this BBS) as a way to hone your journalism career. Message boards are far too informal for that. Perhaps starting your own blog would be better. But have fun here, and don't try to write journalistic articles on the BBS. They will likely be met with the sounds of crickets chirping.
Welcome, WILL. I can already tell you have good writing skills, dear sir. *Note: your last sentence is missing a period. For a grand ole silly time, head on over to The Hangout, where we keep it stupid! Like this: that's what SHE said.
