well he would be saying "gee, this sure is a nice, peaceful vacation i'm on" if not for lebron in the last series.
hugely underrated play. the first thing that had gone right in 5 minutes was lebron blocking dirk's shot and then wade and haslem grabbing offensive rebounds on lebron's misses. haslem could have just dribbled back out but he was right at the basket. of course he gets stripped but then all he has to do is just let it fall out of bounds and for some reason he saves it! and of course lebron and someone else collide going for the ball setting up a gimme fastbreak. really nothing more could have gone right for the mavs or wrong for the heat that whole 7 minutes. heat deserved to lose for playing not to lose, but "deserves got nothin' to do with it" and just one made miracle 3, one non-turnover, no fastbreaks off of stupid saves, no terrible defensive assignments on the last play, just one thing needed to go right and they probably win. just something. oh well.
The Mavericks looked like they turned it over every other possession, Mike Bibby finally didn't suck for a change..... and the Heat lost.
Yeah, but compare this to what they did in game 5 @Chicago. I mean, everything had to go right for the Heat to win that game. It cuts both ways.
i really think they might have been saved if lebron didn't miss that point blank layup. he acted like he was fouled but i didn't see it. granted, lebron shooting a layup into the front of the rim is pretty weird if he's not fouled, but he still has to make it. the heat actually ran some offense on that play and got lebron to the basket off a screen. that would have put it back to 13 and stopped the run before it go going. but i guess it was destiny.
look at d-whistle waiting to see if the ball goes in first. gotta love the reaction after he misses it.
It looked like the rim fouled him on that play. Have to give the refs some props because he probably gets that superstar call in the regular season.
well, yeah, but that doesn't mean i have to be happy about it. besides, dallas already had their historic comeback against okc. it's not fair to get to do this twice in one playoff run. i mean these are 1/1000 type games and twice in one playoffs is just amazing, where nothing can go wrong for 5+ minutes or you lose and you somehow win against a good team. and in this case, against a team that was dominating 4th quarters all playoffs and had held you to 2 points in the first 5:42 of the 4th quarter.
the heat really aren't getting to the basket much in the halfcourt. people wonder why they aren't driving but dallas is trapping PnR's and always has help on almost every drive. without just barreling into people it's not that easy for wade and lebron to just drive (which is scary for the rest of the series). if dallas doesn't turn it over 20 times tonight the heat don't have that 15 point lead because the heat aren't just eviscerating them in transition. having said that, i think the heat just thought they could rely on their D. if they hit one of those long 3's and pick up a few points somewhere else, they had to think their D would suffocate the mavs and finish them off. but dallas shot 90% the rest of the game and the heat just completely lost it defensively. suddenly lebron was never on terry and chalmers was, and not coincidentally terry went off. they left dirk open on a couple of PnR's in a way they hadn't all night. and the screwed up a couple fastbreaks. just discombobulated on D in a way miami rarely has been all season. it actually kind of reminds me of dallas in 2006. they seemingly had wade contained all the way until game 3. they weren't letting him drive and everything was jumpers and then something changed and they never got it back and wade never let off the gas.
Didn't the Heat do it twice to Chicago? The game that went into OT, wasn't that a good comeback? I remember thinking in game 5 how even when the Heat were down big they would make a game of it because they were doing it all playoffs long. Anyway, I think it's good that Dallas won because now we actually have a series. If it was 2-0 going to Dallas, it was already over. I'm actually hoping it comes back to Miami with Dallas up 3-2 so we can see what the Heat are made of. Same thing as last year. I just hope that if this goes 7 they don't put bull**** Crawford or Bavetta in and actually let the guys decide the game on their own, as last year's final game was a joke.
MiamiHeraldHeat Joseph Goodman LeBron on OKC: "I don’t want to sit here and be the coach of OKC but I seen a lot of things that could have been done better." 4:12 PM May 24th I wonder what that would be?
I dunno, it seems like in the 1st three quarters Wade was attacking a lot and getting lots of layups/dunks or fouls. In the 4th LBJ was giving him the ball more but he was just taking jumpers. Could be he was out of gas, something Dallas was doing, or just running the clock, but it seemed strange.
The Heat really are hated. I know they're the big bad wolf in the NBA, but people complain about anything they say or do. I don't want Dallas to win. I don't want LeBron to win. I don't care about Bosh. I don't want to see Dirk or Cuban get a ring. I kinda don't want to see LeBrong win a ring, but I know he'll get at least a handful of them. I don't want to see Terry win. Wade is the only player I want to see win another ring. I think people don't like him because he is cocky, but all the great players are. Hakeem was the only humble player off the court.
Serious lol. Bibby probably more deserving but the Mavs have multiple guys who got ****ed out of one.
I watched some of the game at work and mannnnn was miami getting all the calls. I just want to see a good clean game with no bulll**** calls. I dont give a **** who wins but if you win it dirty you get no respect.
