Man, what a game! Credit Dallas for sticking in it even though they looked deflated that first half of the 4th. After Miami went up big, they didn't keep the killer instinct on offense or defense. You could tell they weren't scrambling or rotating as they normally do. That's what lost them the game.
Wooww.. how did that happen. The Heat players should read the chapter about complacency in Pat Reiley's book.
wow, look at all these rockets... *cough* I mean Mavericks fans around here. What's next guys, start rooting for the jazz?
Up by 3 with 4 straight freethrows to put it out of reach...bricks all 4... It's okay, orgasms usually affect peoples memories...
Yeah, I know I said so what if they win....but that was a statement game. LeChoke? It suits him today. Wade missed a couple of free throws that he shouldn't have.
I have no doubt Miami takes this game if the ball was in Wade's hands in the last 3 minutes, not Lebron's.
Dirk just killed some ghosts tonight that had been haunting him for the past four years. Epic game. And I absolutely love that he hit the last two most crucial buckets with the LEFT HAND!
This game is more than 1 win for the Mavs. Heat messed up by: 1) Giving Terry life by letting him get off in the final minutes. He is now going to believe in his shot. 2) Giving Dirk life with some terrible defensive assignments in last minutes of the game. He is now going to believe in his shot. Bosh should never ever be on Dirk any time of the game, much less with couple of minutes to go, especially when you have Haslem AND Lebron on the same team. 3)Giving Mavs momentum going into their home.... ...this is especially big because Mike Miller is now hurt and Heat needed 2-0 cushion going to Dallas. Sorry Spolestra but you messed up!
Ok, it's official: I'm going for Dallas. 1. The oh-so-familiar choke was starting to show and they buried it; 2. Instead of flopping like a b**** the way he has in the past, Dirk kept pushing for the rim to make a real shot; 3. Unlike Wade and James, Dirk's game-winner didn't include a blatant travel.
It wasn't even a choke imo. They just stopped playing altogether. Except there was 5 minutes left not 3 minutes.
What an unbelievable meltdown by the Head in the 4th. It's like they WANTED to take hard contested shots from 3 feet behind the arc with 8 seconds still left on the clock. Also why was Bibby left out at the 4th? I know Chalmers hit that big shot in the end, but I think Bibby would've hit a few big shots had he been in the game and they wouldn't have been in that position to give up the lead.
when you are up by 16 mid through the 4th and lose, your team choked. if you don't want to call it a choke, just call it playing like a 3rd grader?? idk?? how is not a choke when you blow a 16 point lead?
