lebron and wade have bosh. bosh may be missing shots right now, but he will produce points. tmac and yao never got that consistent 3rd guy to save their lives, and they were nowhere near lebron's and wade's level.

superstars show up 95% of the time. role players show up when they can, that's why they are replaceable. one game can be mike miller, other chalmers, or haslem, or whoever. they don't need their bench to score 25-30 points every game for them to win, as indicated in this playoff run (the big 3 is responsible for 73% of their offense).

Miller's hustle for every rebound deserves a lot of respect, but I get worried because every time he goes up for one, he always runs down the court in pain.

If you watch closely you'll notice that Dirk has done a GREAT job passing out of the doubles, driving and kicking, and orchestrating the Dallas offense to beat the Heat's defensive rotations in the 1st half. He has done far more in this game than Bosh so far.

All that said, I hope he totally chokes in the 2nd half.

he made some beautiful passes in the first quarter. but in the 2nd, he started chucking up shots (primarily b/c there were no double teams), and he's missing a lot of makeable shots. for a great shooter like him, he can't afford to do that at this point in the game.

i'm sure dirk will eventually make shots, but he's also choking on the other end. ONE REBOUND from your PF? get that out of here. that's SOFT.

Well, he's a super star of clutch role player, that's why he wins rings with every team he's on.

But seriously, on big games, he was on, at both ends of the floor, not just for a clutch 3 or two.

If Mavs would run plays for Peja, he would be averaging 30 ppg in this series.

Rick Carlisle is not using him properly.

So you are agreeing with me, that role players have to do something to win the game? All I said was, if they continue with 2-man game, role players wouldn't get time to warm up to contribute when they are needed. I was talking about this game only, not diminishing contribution from Bosh, Mike, Bibby, Haslem in the whole playoffs.

I know you picked Heat, and I got your point. Really :)

He has single-handedly cancelled out the rebounding contributions of Joel Anthony and Haslem combined. :)

the thing is the heat aren't a 2-man team. bosh has given them 18-19 points and 8 boards in the playoffs, that's NOT a role player.

what in the world is dallas doing. giving wade and lebron 3 transition buckets off turnovers in just a few minutes. bibby somehow orchestrating it all it seems like.

edit: it was bibby on all 3 of those.
