If voter fraud by illegal aliens is such a big problem, I would think you would jump at a chance to present the evidence and win people to your side. But you seem oddly reluctant to do that. I wonder why?

Because I am just as lazy as the next person. Let them do their own google searches of voter fraud from Texas to Minnesota, from Oregon to Pennsyvlania.

But here, you're not doing that. You're making it more difficult for voters that DO want to vote.

But, you're a political activist who feels strongly about this issue-

You, no doubt, spend many many hours on your political activities, but you won't take a few minutes to convince people that fraudulent voting by illegal aliens is a serious problem.

    That seems strange.

The bigger question is whether you've done your own research, or are you spending all this time for a cause that has no actual basis for it? And, if so, do you even care?

I was responding to thumbs and someone else's post that it was good to encourage voting. I think it's easy enough.

No I don't think voter fraud is a big deal. Just good headlines on DRUDGE.

Sorry - this is what I get for jumping into a thread midway through. I agree that it's fairly easy as is, and there's no need to really encourage it for people who aren't truly interested.

It's not strange, just practical. There is no way to change any minds here, but I have a chance out in the real world. However, this is a great place to hone my arguments.

But you don't have an argument based on facts. You have an argument spun out of thin air. Show me evidence that non-citizen voters are voting with fake voter registration cards. I have yet to see it, from you or anyone else who throws this baseless idea against the wall to see if it will stick.

Well then hone your argument. What evidence would you provide to someone in the real world when trying to convince them that fraudulent voting by illegal aliens is a serious issue.

    You can't hone imaginary facts.

Interesting. I see quotes like this-

But I'm not seeing an actual case of a non-citizen casting a fraudulent vote. Am I missing it? I looked at all of the links. Can you point me to it?

So basically you are saying you will rail about a problem that you can't even bother to prove. In fact you try to put in on others to prove it.

Why should we consider this a problem, or you POV credible, at all if the one arguing for it can't even be bothered to present the basic evidence?

Edit I see you posted some links but have provided no analysis or insight regarding those links. Again you are derelict in regard to advancing your argument. Since you mentioned the real world why should you be any more credible there if you aren't presenting evidence?

There is a way to change minds here: present a logical argument supported by factual information. If you presented anything from a reliable source talking about voter fraud, I would listen. Currently, I only have an almost complete lack of any substantiated claims of actual voter fraud, a complete lack of prosecutions for voter fraud, and the mindless echoing of Fox pundits claiming that there is massive voter fraud.

For God's sake, at the TEA Party board I frequent, they are still bringing up ACORN as an example of voter fraud even though that organization was never accused of such actions. If you want to change a mind, mine is open on this subject, or as open as it can be given that the most recent evidence of actual voter fraud I have seen was from Chicago in 1960.

Why any of you are wasting your time responding to thumbs is beyond me.
