No, feeling the need to respond to every post with a differing opinion as some sort of self-appointed guardian of the Rockets organization.

This was a Rocket fan board long before Adelman and your own tenure and will remain so as long as our team exists.

Trust me, we all know where you stand on the Adelman issue. Dial it back a notch.

some people post mostly negative things against the rockets, and some people post positive in support of the rockets. yet one side of these differing opinions is ok, while the other is not... hmmm... interesting...

Partake of the The wisdom of Gracchus
    [IMG]

BBS: Gracchus What do you think of the hiring of Kevin McHale?

Gracchus: He enters RocketLand like a conquering hero. But what has he conquered?
Chris Jent MVP:: Give him time, Gracchus. He's young, he may do very well.
Gracchus: For ROCKETS? Or for you?

BBS: Gracchus, Chris Jent MVP [IMG] thinks he has his finger on the PULSE of the BBS, What do you think?

Gracchus: Then perhaps Chris Jent MVP will be so good as to teach us, out of his own extensive 3 DAY experience?
Chris Jent MVP: I call it love, Gracchus. The BBS are my children, I am their father. I shall hold them to my bosom and embrace them tightly...
Gracchus: Have you ever embraced someone dying of MEDIOCRITY, sire?

BBS: Gladiator, what do you think of the upcoming season. The Fans seem to not be happy with the selection of Kevin McHale. What do you think D. Morey should tell the people of Rocket Land.

BBS: What do you think Leonidas?

Seriously 6 pages and no one took the bet? Maybe $100 was too much?

How about this. If McHale wins more than Adelman, you take a month off from Clutchfans. If he wins less I'll take 2 months. Any takers for that?

I mean, its the end of the Rockets, Morey doesn't even care about being in Houston anymore, and we have a coach who doesn't know anything about anything. No way he wins more than the HOFer, right? And an opportunity to shut up a Morey apologist blind supporter Rocket hired spammer like me should be at least a little enticing right? Especially on a no brainer bet like this. There is too much talk going around. Let's get some accountability.

I will take this. let's do it like this:

If Mchale wins 1 game more than Adelman's last season, I will take one month off. If 2 games more, I will take 2 months off. and so on.

    Hope you do so too.
if McHale wins 1 less game, you take 1 month off. If mchale wins 5 less games, you take 5 months off, so on.

and that's it, disregarding any excuses such as team movements, league changes, earth ends or anything else.

No, I'm not going to do it by games won. It is almost a certainty that we will have a lockout next season. Even if we win out it might only be 40-0. Come on get real.

I'll set the over/under by percentage points. We won 52%(we will round) of our games last season. Every game we win above that % next year, you take 1 months off. Every game below I'll take 1 month.

So if the season is shortened to 40 games, and we go 40-0, you take 20 months off. If we go 20-20, I take 1 month off. And so on.

Anyone else interested? Kwame? Hillboy? Deckard? TheFreak? We know your opinions on Adelman vs. McHale, so why not take the little wager? All in good fun. No money involved. Just pride and dignity.

I'm sure that after the holiday, Leslie wanted his coffee, and as a result the post count for employees posting here has "lessened".

Pretty funny that the OP never actually offered to put up any money, but merely asked for odds "if" he decided to do so.

If McHale inherits the same roster Adelman finished the season with, he will win more than Rick.

Some of you overrate Adelman so much. The guy was average last year and was actually getting worse as he focused on players he liked instead of players who helped the team win

Adelman's departure is addition by subtraction.

You're crazy. Adelman's is probably the best offensive NBA coach in the NBA.

Classic example of irrational posting. Given the players Morey surrounded him with, there's no way that team was supposed to be in the playoff hunt. Adelman's job performance last year was beyond spectacular.

The only fans who seem to not like Adelman are mostly the "tankers" who think playing Twill would've made a difference

ok, this excuse gets a pass.

What if McHale wins 2:0 games total then quits or gets fired ?
what if there is zero game played next season?

still, I will take on this.

If McHale is fired the bet is still on.

If no games are played the bet is off.

Battier is a better player than Ariza. That move helped us since it ensured that Battier would be the starter, and it also gave us a good backup 2, which we didn't have.

You're probably the only one here who thinks that was a bad trade lol...

I'm pretty sure Chuck Hayes is a suitable starting C if Joel Anthony is.

Our weakness is the 3 and most importantly, THE BENCH. My god our bench went from being good and deep to being one of the worst in the NBA. Not really anyone to blame, we've got 2 guys starting who used to shoulder the bench's load.

I liked what I saw from Lee and Pat and Goran down the stretch but what's killing us is that we have no backup to Chuck. Nada.

You mean the players like Battier and Aaron Brooks that Morey had to move because Adelman refused to sit them when better options were available? What was the Rockets’ record after those deals? I can’t remember. How did Bud and Lowry play when they didn’t have to split time with dead wood?

If you think missing the playoffs and starting the season 0-5 is spectacular then you need to raise your standards good buddy. Adelman was living off his reputation from 10-15 years ago and getting credit for the play of guys who were skilled, disciplined offensive players before he coached them (and they will continue to be skilled and disciplined without him).

If McHale has the team that Rick finished last season with (and the entire season is played) he will win 46+ games.
