But the photo (which I've only seen on Daily Show) just looks too obscure to be a pose or anything that you would send to someone. I may be reaching here but couldn't it have been taken accidentally (i.e. phone camera accidentally goin off)? Or maybe him and his wife are freaks like dat .
That theory was disproven about 30 minutes after cannonfire wrote it. http://hotair.com/archives/2011/06/01/weiner-hey-im-saving-taxpayers-money-by-not-getting-the-cops-involved-in-this-update-blitzer-interview-video-added/
I dunno man, it looks like an off angle crank shot to me. Not sure your point on that? If he sent it to his wife then he should just say it is his. Nothing really adds up right now.
Nope it really isnt that hard. http://littlegreenfootballs.com/page/248630_yfrog_secret_email_addresses_a
little green footballs has never heard of hashing? Of course you would get similar words for similar looking addresses. That doesn't make it easy to crack.
Except there are varying methods of a randomly generated number or string. In this case its not simply a random 10 digit number for example. It's a word that seems to be poorly made. In the case study the guy did, he got a repeat in 27 tries which could be a random occurrence in an otherwise secure system or it could mean that the random generation of a word for yfrog is quite poor. Also its not even random letters. He was getting similar words with the first letter only changing which further limits your ability to randomly generate a string. Again it just seems like yfrog's security sucks. That said I dont know if Weiner's account did or did not get hacked. Frankly, I'll wait until there is some actual evidence one way or another instead of continued speculation. In the mean time, lets all keep jumping. Spoiler
Ah I assume an apology from basso and tallanvor will be forthcoming and if not, they both should be banned for malicious slander on a hard working, smart congressman.
Agreed. My gut feel is that it IS a photo of him but he was not the one to send it to that girl. In addition, I think the reason he's stalling so much is that the photo can be evidence for some other/separate scandal that nobody knows about (yet). Any explanantion of where and when this photo was taken will end up opening up a much larger closet full of dirty laundry. I don't even think the hacker realized this when scheming up this twitter framing. The guy is much too smart to not be able to put a rest to all this. There's something else only he knows. Right now he's letting the media eat up this twitter thing to a point where it just becomes stale news without real answers. Everyone will move on and he only takes a slight dent to his rep. Well worth the trade of what could have been. either that or I'm able to channel the ToyCen in me today....
You really shouldn't post pics of your girlfriend on public message boards. Someone might do something hateful with it!
If you think I will find offense with you implying I am having an extramarital affair with a girl that has a mouth that large, you are mistaken.
They disabled it after the Anthony Weiner incident. Notice the article is from June 1st. Again, none of this proves anything but the reverse is also true. People are trying hard to jump to conclusions.
I haven't been following this bizarre story, but has anyone asked or explained WHY he would send this picture out? This guy doesn't appear to be a twitter-novice. He tweets quite often, understands hash tags, etc - he seems to know what he's doing and how twitter works. If he did do it, WHY would he suddenly randomly send out this picture on twitter (as opposed to email, for example)?
The difference between a public post and direct message is one character on twitter. He meant to send this girl a DM(meaning private) and accidentally sent it public. He then panicked and tried to cover it up with some really bad tweets and lies to the media.
