This is the first year that Lebron and Dwade has played together and they are on the brink of winning the NBA title. I know the supporting cast comes into play but this duo is at the least a top 5.. if not top 3 or 2 of the best players in the game today. Jordan was the best player during his time but Pippen was no where close to being a top 5 player during his playing time.
If Jordan + Pippen > Lebron + Wade. Then a lot of people say Lebron joining Wade in Miami is ludicrous and unacceptable; the "demise of the league". Something doesn't make sense. Sounds like people want to hate on Lebron and Wade by saying Jordan + Pippen was FAR BETTER, but at the same time they want to maintain Lebron + Wade in Miami is cheating. Haters want to have their cake and eat it too. You can't have it both ways!
Jordan is probably the most clutch player ever as well. With the game on the line is there any other player in the history of the NBA you would rather have take the shot than MJ?
It would be really really close. There's no way that any team would dominate. Offensively, while Pippen is good, Wade and Lebron are better. Defensively, Wade is the weak link relatively even though he can step up when needed. Wade always steps up when needed. He did it against the Celtics. He had the best or a top 3 performance of ALL TIME in the NBA finals. He makes clutch plays on both sides of the court. Recently, Lebron has been hitting crazy shots as well. No two players can stop Wade and Lebron, IMO. 2 vs 2. Stopping Jordan and Pippen is equally tough though. Anyone who thinks Jordan and Pippen would rape is in denial.
At this time, I would still vote MJ/Pippen.. But I find it hilarious how the same "Lebron hate gang" say it is not even a comparison but still blame James for teaming up with Wade.. Hilarious..

People questioning MJ and Pippen ability to defend Lebron. The real question should be, can Lebron and Wade defend a prime MJ? The answer is, No way in hell! Why do people ask this kind of stupid question. Pretty obvious younger generations who never saw MJ and Pippen played and dominant the league with their superb defense. Seriously a prime kobe is better player than Lebron now but younger fans who didnt get the chance to see it won't believe it. That's all.
This is bull****. Lebron would have as good of a chance of guarding Jordan as anyone in history. And I know it seems as though people have forgotten, but Jordan missed shots too. You're clutching to history if you don't think Lebron is the physically most gifted perimeter player of all time and can keep up with Jordan. Honestly, what is Jordan gonna do to completely destroy him? Did you watch Lebron guard Derrick Rose? Every shot was difficult for him.
a prime kobe is NOT better than the current lebron james. a prime kobe didn't get to the playoffs one year, and didn't get out of the first round the other 2 years by his lonesome. i bet my house that lebron would never fail to make the playoffs even if you put him on the worst team in the L in his prime.
I voted for MJ and Pippen. Sometimes I think people underrate Pippen, because of how good Jordan was. When Mike left, SP was very impressive.
Guess I'm in the minority here. I'll take Lebron and DWade thank you. Combo-wise, they are just vastly stronger than MJ/Pippen.
