I think the Wolves just found their wing player.

    Bye bye #2 pick.

If we drafted someone like Darius Morris or even Reggie Jackson with his freakishly long arms (7' wingspan), Monta would look real nice in Rocket red. That said, is he even an upgrade over Kevin Martin? Not really.

Bleah. Great value for a 2nd round pick, not so great value at $11M a year. He did play better this year though.

on a team with some structure, he would be dangerous. he isn't a superstar, but he has that kind of talent. i'm sure they can land the #2, #3, or #5 pick for him if they wanted.

Pacers would be an awesome fit.

THey need a guy who can create for themselves in the clutch.

    Ellis/George/Granger/Hansbrough/Hibbert

Not a shock. Owner previously talked about considering breaking it up.

On the right team, Monta could be a superstar'ish player. He can take over games and score at will once he gets it going.. but he needs to get off the lowly Warriors.

    Lol.

If you thought Kevin Martin was a bad defender...

I like Monta, I just do not like him for the Rockets.

Yeah they need to build around Curry. That much is given. He is the future of that team.

I personally thought that Monta+Curry is a great combo (at least on the offensive end). They work well together, both can get theirs and they are fun as hell to watch.

My guess is, they want to build a more defense-oriented team (then again, getting rid of Monta for anybody with size is more defense-oriented than what they have now).

    Jeremy Lin is that good.

seriously - I would stay away from Monta Ellis.

He's not a good defender and undersized for a shooting guard. Wouldn't care about his size, if he was decent defensively.

Also a volume shooter. Not very efficient. Kind of a fool's gold type of player.

Ideally he would be a super sub type.

Scola, Miller, and a 1st for Ellis.
Martin, and Budinger for Granger, and a 1st.

    Hayes / Thabeet
    Patterson / Hill
    Granger / Williams
    Ellis / Lee
    Lowry / Dragic

The throngs of folks that pointlessly hate Martin would commit mass suicide after a season watching Ellis.

    Stay the hell away.

I want to torture them. Ellis will hoist up shots like no other, but I think the Rockets could use a player like that.

Every time he plays the Rockets, he drops 40 ON us. So i'll take him on the Rockets and hopefully he can drop 40 FOR us.

And then we can kiss defense goodbye. Hello chucking!

Once again, I like Monta. I just want him as far away from Houston as possible. HOpefully he get sent East so we don't have to face him much.

Not that we have too much defense now.

Wouldn't mind trading K-Mart and a pick for him.
