Theres no denying James and Wade being first ballot HOF'ers...But if Bosh keeps his current production up(18,10) on a multiple championship team , do you think he has a legitimate shot of being in the HOF...1)should the fact that he joined forces hinder any serious consideration 2) should his previous play in Toronto (22,10) help ease the debate? .... I think he has a legitimate shot because he isnt just a role player but a star playing his role perfectly... all while still being able to affect the game .... If this has been posted already, well post again( I didnt see it)...

If he continues doing this for many years on a team which wins multiple championships, I think that he would.

Should he? Hell no. Would he? Probably.

Alot of people seem to think that this team is a big three when in reality, there are two true stars.

I agree...I dont think he would be a first ballot HOF'er though unless his class is pretty weak....Bosh is somewhere between a star and a solid consistent player...But I think if he went elsewhere then he would recieve the star label

if the heat win multiple championships and bosh keeps his level of production and getting all-star game bids he will get in the HOF easily.

Heat get 4-5 rings and he doesn't completely fall off, of course he will.

He won't get in unless he becomes a different player. He's never been the best at his position (not even close) and now he's clearly the 3rd best guy on the team. Role players don't make it no matter how many rings they have, and right now he's just a role player.

Agreed. Similar to guys like Parish, Worthy, all of Bill Russell's teammates, etc.

Don't get me wrong, those guys were great, but I am not convinced that they would make the hall had they not played on the teams which they played on (tho Worthy would have a legit chance anywhere he went).

Robert Parish was never close to being the best at his position. He was the third best guy on championship teams and he made it in. Granted he was like third or fourth ballot, but he still made it in.

Most of the 60s' Celtics beg to differ.

The basketball HOF is the biggest joke of all HOFs. Who cares.

I think you'd be shocked at how many "role players" are in the Hall of Fame because they won championships.

The boxing hall of fame is actually a lot worse. Bums who never even challenged for championships routinely make it in. But yes, the NBA hall of fame is very easy to get into.

Yes. As long as he keeps playing at this level with LBJ and Dwade and they win 5 or 6 championships, as they so arrogantly predicted at the beginning of the year. They will be good for about 3 or 4. I don't see Wade lasting as long as Lebron. Not sure of Bosh's injury history if any. But Lebron is the only one who will continue to produce in the next few years.

I really hope they fail though.

If you take a look at some of the guys in HOF there's no doubt he's talented enough and has bigger stats than most of the guys in there. HOF has too many guys in that never were SUPER stars, if you put up good stats over a long time you can get in.

Threads like these really show the ignorance of the typical NBA fan. Hell, it even shows the ignorance of the more diehard fans that post on internet message boards. First, there's no such thing as the "NBA hall of fame." Second, the definition of "role player" by a lot of people in this thread is utterly ridiculous. Third, there are tons of players similar to Bosh (If you project out a few championship rings for the Miami Heat) that are in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Fourth, please, just take a look at the list of people in the HOF before you start making ridiculous statements:

Bosh has 11k points and 5k rebs. on pace for about 20k and 10k in his career. so the numbers will be there to support his case. they won't win the case for him, but it's a start.

he's a an all-star every year. he won a gold medal. if the heat win more than one championship then he should be a shoe in between the career numbers and the accomplishments.

Only if he goes back to Toronto and wins a championship...otherwise, NO.
