This franchise has been rebuilding since Hakeem and Clyde left. If you think about it, we have been rebuilding for over a decade. Francis and Mobley couldn't get it done, T-Mac and Yao couldn't get it done, and now we have one of the youngest teams in the league with no all-stars. So why the hell are we praising Morey when he fires a coach that has led this sorry team to 2 straight winning seasons without Yao? So we hire Mchale...wtf???? We are the new Clippers, just another team in a state full of basketball teams competing in the Western Conference. I don't know about you guys, but the most I'm hoping for this season are new uniforms, let's get back to the winning colors of ketchup and mustard. I am not at all expecting us to even compete with the leagues best for the next 3 years. Hiring Mchale is the downfall of this franchise. I know this is just another hate thread as a result of the Rockets hiring the worst coach in franchise history. I'm sorry, if anyone is as upset as I am right now and questions the direction of this franchise like I am, then I am all for the Heat. The Rockets have lost my priority and until they are able to win 3 games in a row, I cannot bare to watch this team for the first time in my life. Daryl Morey, Les Alexander, and Kevin Mchale make me ashamed to be a Rockets fan.
The only reason rockets hired mchale was because he was ok with the 2 year deal which would give the other guy enough time to get ready for coaching.
You know what? Peace out! I will support my childhood and adult favorite team UNTIL THE DAY I DIE. We have been ravaged by injuries and bad choices, but none were a result of malice from the team. We have seen the mountain top and will again. Of this, I have no doubt, because we are NOT scared to make the moves, daring though they may be, to conquer that Summit! Never underestimate the wavering faith of a fake fan...
I think you're overreacting just a little. I liked Rick a lot and am sad to see him go. I disagree with the FO's decision, but your post sounds like a drunken rant. We are not the Clippers, and we'll be good again, very soon. How do I know this? Because the we're the Houston frikken' Rockets, that's how. Hearts of champions, no matter who our coach, players, GM, or owner is. Sure, it's blind fanaticism. So sue me.
Rockets preseason is in October. Harold Camping predicts the end is on October 21st. Coincidence? I think not.
Takeaway points from the OP's post: 1) There are a lot of teams in Texas. 2) He does not like McHale. 3) He would, however, find it nicer to see them lose in better uniforms. 4) He is ashamed to be a Rockets fan because of reasons 1 through 3. 5) He doesn't know how to use paragraphs. When we win a championship, I hope you don't celebrate. You don't deserve it. What's probably going to happen is you're going to re-register as a new fan, like "I<3Rockets4Eva" once we become champs again, spouting about how you were an unwavering fan. Loser.
lol I<3 Stevie is obviously in reference to Stevie Franchise whom I never wanted to be trade for T-Mac's knees. As for the paragraphs, they just didn't come out right. As for being a Rockets fan, I am until death a fan of this franchise above all other franchises in every sport. As for Mchale, I am extremely disappointed. Rafer Alston could do a better job coaching this team than Mchale ever will, too bad Alston was already hired as a high school basketball coach in Houston.
This. It is not as if we conquered Mount Everest even when we had 1-11 healthy years ago. It was time for a change in direction, and you support your team in good and bad times. Let's hope for the best.
What the OP fails to see is hiring McHale has nothing to do with McHale. It's all about Finch, who, btw, had some success with Thabeet. Btw, McHale is going to get us our next star big man.
