I know it's one game, but I'm very pleased. Dallas has more depth, but the Heat weren't intimidated by them.

I picked Dallas in 6, and that Miami never faced the offensive force as the Dallas wasn't said by Dallas fans. It was Kenny Smith pointed out. Tonight, Dallas didn't do the job at the offensive end. Yes, Heat's defense was part of the reason, but Mavs didn't hit their open shots.

It's just game 1, and it's Heat's home court. All predictions are just guesses. Let's see whether I am "delusional" :) But as a Rockets fan, I won't lose sleep for either team losing.

yea mavs were in it for most of the game till the 4th peja's gotta step up

bench HAS to outplay the heat bench, they need a small point cushion

maybe 5-7 pts in the 4th to stand a chance otherwise...well we saw what

    happened

Watched in public and had some great bonding moments between Rockets and Spurs fans. We may not like the Heat, but we sure as hell don't want Dallas to win.

And the Heat actually had more double-digit scorers than Dallas. Nice balance. Just think- LeBron and Wade didn't even have a dominant game and they took this. They're taking this series, no doubt.

I feel very bad for Dirk. He doesn't even have a Stockton or Kevin Johnson. He deserves better.

    So were boston and chicago...

Wtf am I watching? Oh, just the Heat doing what they've done all playoffs. It was close, then the Heat kicked it in at the end...you think Dallas showed something special that actually bothered the heat? GTFO...this is the finals, there are few blowouts...an 8-10 point loss is as bad as it gets. Sorry your team lost...

lebron did his thing tonight. good thing the role players stepped up. if wade doesnt step up his game, the heat is going to be lebron's team.

Miami has not faced a star like Dirk. They will be okay.

And Dallas is not my team.

Among Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, and Juwan Howard, Juwan may or will be the first to get a ring. Wow.

Bibby already has a championship- in college. I always wonder why some players downplay that- I mean, in the Tournament, it's not the easiest thing to win one, so players like Battier, Bibby, Chalmers, even someone like Patrick Ewing- I mean, at least they can say they did it at the college level.

heat only scored 92 pts. if dallas can't "stay" in the game, they shouldn't be in the final. if dallas can't average over at least 90, they're not going to win this series. i think they did that against the lakers. i don't see it happening against this heat defense.

James did an amazing job setting up others players with precision passing. And he makes the passes look effortless.

Dallas played some great defense but that's going to be tough to stop.

Dallas doesn't have clutch or hard-nosed players. They have one of the all-time greats with Dirk, a solid all-around in Marion, a decent (at the present time, used to be great) point guard and a solid back-up, and a handful of shooters that will give you 1-2 hot games (Terry, Peja) and ultimately choke.

Dallas is not winning this series. They are about the same as the 2006 team (an awesome team up until games 4-6 in the Finals), and this Heat team is much better than in 2006.

Knicks don't even have enough talent to win a playoff game against the Hawks, Bulls, Celtics, Magic, let alone the Heat. Ginobili isn't going to do it either. They need CP3/Rose and a talented C like Marc Gasol or Bynum. While the Bulls might get away with adding 2nd tier star like Ginobili, the Knicks need 1 superstar and 1 2nd tier star.

Terry would be fine if he didn't celebrate in the dang 1st quarter like he's just won the game. He sets himself up for ridicule- no one would have a problem with him if he wasn't such a moron.

    Seriously.

Maybe if they add some pieces 2-3 years down the line but as of right now and probably anytime soon due to CBA (especially with the new CBA coming), no way in hell it is happening.

    Agreed. He is a douchebag.

If Dallas doesn't win, then him not winning a ring (along with Cuban) would be nice to see.

Still, # of douchebags on Miami is higher. So gotta go for Dallas by default.

    And Miami has four douchebags.

    LeBron, LeBron, LeBron and Bosh.
