The Chalmers foul pretty much was the last demoralizing blow. Kidd didn't even wanted to pick the ball up anymore. Still, ****ty play in the end cost Dallas this game. I give credit to the Heat for keeping their poise.
It's funny when you say Dallas needs to get used to a tough defense when their fans have come in here telling us how the heat have never faced the offensive juggernaut known as the mighty Mavs. I said it earlier...the Mavs are too slow and don't have the defense to stay with the Heat. You are seriously delusional if you think the Mavs have a chance at winning this series.
BTW, game 1 showed that Spoelstra is following the Riley defensive scheme against the Mavs. Shut down Jason Terry and Mavs offense unravels. Safe to say Terry wont be seeing too much daylight this series, especially is Lebron if chasing him down.
People need to understand that no team in the nba can beat the heat in a 7 game series. The only team talent wise that comes close is the Knicks. To beat the heat you need another big 3. It's just not fair.. The Knicks need to revamp their roster, add another superstar and build around hose 3 players like Miami did. Manu would go nice with Knicks.
I feel like the only team that could've stopped Miami or given them a run for their money was Memphis. If some of your best players are perimeter players, Miami will completely shut down your offense with Lebron and Wade. The recipe for defeating the Heat would be a very strong post game (Marc Gasol and Z. Randolph) with great perimeter defense (Tony Allen + Sam Young).
That trophy is saying in MIA for the next 5 years. What's the point of developing a sacrificial goat from the western conference? Just rebuild.
Dallas just need to get one of the first two. Their offense sucked tonight. Terry and Barea couldn't make any shots and took too many shots. Should just give Dirk the ball.
Peja struggled on both offense and defense. I don't know if he has it in him to step up. Carlisle is going to have to figure out ways to get the ball to Nowitzki in the fourth. Kidd was ok but Terry looked confounded by the Heat's D. It's not impossible for the Mavs to win this series, but man, it's a steeeep climb.
People are going mighty overboard. Dallas NEEDS to win on Thursday. Then they have 3 STRAIGHT games at home. I wouldn't be so sure to give the Heat the trophy unless the refs screw dallas
Lebron has proved again that he can shut down a small quick guard with his size. Terry is going to have a very tough series if Lebron continues to guard him. Just ask Derrick Rose. Dallas needs to ride Dirk and his FTs in the 4th exclusively with everyone else being 4th options.
