Eaten their twice, once for lunch once, after a night out. It doesn't suck but it's definitely not worth the trip/money. I'm convinced they're only popular because they're open for the late night crowd.
Anyone that ever comes to Vegas (or San Diego)...I STRONGLY suggest getting this behemoth (one pounder)... from Hash House A Go Go two hamburger patties mashed potatoes glued between the patties apple smoked bacon burger fixins IMO...the best burger I've ever tasted. (Eaten this several times at the M Resort...actually, my wife and I split it)
I just recently discovered Stomp's down near Kemah. Small place, but their burgers are incredible. They actually pack stuff (bacon, cheese, etc.) inside the patty before they skillet fry it. I actually had one called the "Jezebel"...the meat was coated in that Raspberry Chipotle sauce before cooked...then served with cream cheese on the burger. It was euphoric.
Well since we are posting burger pics: Can I find one of these in Houston? I've always wanted to try one
Which makes us the #1 city for fatties, if it has'nt been said already. Thankfully, i don't fall in the category.
Burger guys on westheimer uses Shipley donuts. And all the sodas in their machine uses Imperial Sugar. Delicious.
Seems like a reader vote, in which case, I don't put any value into it : Which American city does burgers best? That inspires a lot of debate—but now Travel +Leisure readers have picked a winner. In our annual America's Favorite Cities survey, readers weighed in on the best features of 35 cities. While some categories had obvious contenders (like Chicago for pizza or Seattle for coffee), the race for the best burger seemed wide open. Still seems ambiguous. But come on, (with all apologies to DarkHorse... SLC?!.... and Savannah?)
Yeah that place is great. It's right down the street from where I stay, but normally its always packed. I've heard the owner of T-Bone Tom's bought all the recipes from Tookies and will be opening it back up.
I really don't get what the big deal is about Bubba's. I've been there a few times and it is always underwhelming.
Love Houston... always telling people that this city has the best burgers in the nation, bar none. Nice to have some way of backing that up now other than just my word.
