Brown: "We are not going to run the triangle offense but we will have bits and pieces that are incorporated into it." http://twitter.com/#!/Mike_Bresnahan/status/75686929034788864
A good poll question: At what point during the season will the Lakers go back to the triangle after Kobe requests it?
Thats cause Mike Brown likes to run no kind of offense. Much like Cleveland if it were up to him it would be give the ball to your superstar wingman and let him do his thing. However, LA has much more talent then those ****ty Cleveland teams.
Kobe dislikes that offense just as much as Jordan did. He'll enjoy running whatever Kobe-centric PnR "strategy" Brown comes up with, even though it will get them nowhere.
The Rockets won championships with that offense. I'm pretty sure Bryant requested that they run more triangle while Rudy was there, so they implemented it.
the year the lakers didn't run the triangle, kobe had his worst season individually and team-wise. so mike brown is who he is: an incompetent coach showing his incompetency already.
So the Triangle offense has won like 10 (is it 10 or 11) rings for Phil JAckson but this r****d wants to get away from it? Good, it's about time the Lakers died
Why would it surprise anyone that Mike Brown isn't running the triangle? Were there actually fans of the game that thought he would? You have to know an offense to teach/use it.
I just hope something doesn't happen to make Jim Buss change his mind about hiring Mike Brown. Everything so far suggests to me this could be a catastrophic disaster for the Lakers, which is exactly what I'm hoping for. I love what Mike Brown's has said so far. I'm a little nervous and it wouldn't shock me if the Lakers ended up going another direction. I'll breathe easier when everything becomes "official".
Nope he is declining.......but then again LA's other players are FAR better than Cleveland's ever were. So they come out ahead. Still Brown will find a way to mess it up.
No doubt. But IMO Mike Brown really doesn't know how to run any kind of offense anyways so hence we will see a lot of Kobe isos and basic pnr between Kobe/Gasol.
Brown wants John Kuester. I assume he will be the offensive coordinator like he was in Cleveland. http://www.latimes.com/sports/baske...ed&utm_campaign=Feed:+latimes/sports/basketba
