I just watched it again tonight on demand. Great flick, even with the creepy leg amputation angle.

I think it's understood that the rest of Cobb's team got paid handsomely for their work. Also, none of them thought that they were going to die, because (normally) dying in a dream would simply wake you up - but once in the dream they were informed that the sedative they were using was too strong and that dying would send them into limbo. At that point, it only made sense to go through with the rest of the mission anyway, because staying on the upper dream levels would have felt like weeks, and they would have eventually been tracked down by Fischer's security guards.

So in a nutshell, they didn't think they were risking their lives and they were all doing it to get paid. The fact that Cobb was trying to get home to his children was just added motivation.

    I haven't seen those.

As for a suggestion that you probably haven't seen, I'll go with Man On Wire.

Just watched Food inc. I know, I'm a little late to the plate on this one, but it's on the watch instant list on Netflix and I'm working the night shift. Hard to rate a movie like that, but it was interesting. It effectively made me hungry for a McDonald's burger, but at the same time made me lose my appetite for all fast food.

After taking note of your username, I understand that you might have not watched the movie as an impartial viewer.

Saw Kung Fu Panda 2 today with the family. Loved it. A beautiful movie to watch. Certainly a part 3 has to be coming.

    Fargo - 6.1/10

It was okay, but the Minnesota accent schtick got old fast and the naivety of the characters annoyed me

Some people get the Coens, some people don't.

I'd suggest sticking to Michael Bay.

ha. Well, in my defense, I eat at McDonald's once a year, max. Additionally, MAK is my initials and was a nickname in college.

    Battle: Los Angeles 5/10

Just terrible. Awful way to start off the movie and to end the movie. It's just one of the movie at the beginning you would rather root for the Aliens to destroy these idiots soldier boys and I gladly enjoyed seeing them go down one by one. Annoying camera work. The thing that got going for it was a few fight scenes.

While I agree on your rating, maybe a 6/10 for me, but I went into that movie thinking it was going to be terrible and it ended up being better than I expected. Not saying it was great by any means, but way better than I expected.

I know I'm being a little harsh but they keep getting it wrong for something so simple time and time again. That's the problem with trying to make it realistic and keeping it serious. But if you do it wrong it will back fire on you and this exactly did that. They should have follow James Cameron formula on how to do the rescue mission part because this movie would have be a bit more epic.

What I did like were the invading Aliens. I like the whole idea that these Aliens weren't moral thinking like what a human should. They were to me are Aliens that are make to breed, multiply and consume resources. Just like bees and ants. Their big grimy technology pretty much show us they don't understand the aesthetic of building things. So pretty much they are not a very efficient intellect species.

There's really nothing to get, mediocre film making is mediocre film making

But you would be the kind of person drawn to their pseudo intellectual gimmicks

    That's funny.
Not only did I just watch the same movie two days ago, but I rated it 6/10 as well.

I thought it was well acted and had potential to be great, however the characters were simply too annyoing and after a while the storyline just drags on.

Sanctum - 5/10 Thought it would be better with James Cameron being the Executive Producer.
Hall Pass - 7/10 Funny movie
The Kings Speech - 8/10 Very entertaining

    Hangover Part II: 7/10

Definitely not better than the first, but I think its more of the shock value that made the first one unique...Still had some pretty funny parts...Leslie Chow is awesome and the she-man thing was pretty f'n funny...Bridesmaids was better than this one for sure...

Thor: 5/10. A few sorta funny lines, but I struggled to keep awake. The choice was Kung Fu Panda 2, The Bridesmaids, or Thor... should have stayed with the kids and watched the Panda...

I'm resisting the urge to go off on a Fatty-style rant, because we all deserve to have our own opinion.

I'll just say that I think Fargo is awesome. I'd give it 11 out of 10 stars, and the word "mediocre" never pops into my head.

    The Machinist - 8/10

Dark and gritty, just like I like it. Bale's weight loss was disturbing.
