What. a. game. Definitely one of the most incredible games I've ever watched. I almost had a heart attack about five times. Thankfully the Canucks pulled through. Next up: Nashville.
If you think that's sad, just imagine what the city of Vancouver would be like today if the Canucks lost. British Columbia literally postponed parliamentary meetings for this game. The government of Canada delayed the national leader's televised debate for game 4. Everything was on hold for these games - and after the President's Trophy expectations are very high. If the Canucks lost... I can't even imagine the mood. 90% of the celebration yesterday was relief. It would have been a devastating loss. Hawks did great and they should hold their heads high. Corey Crawford is incredible.
Since moving to the Bay Area, I find there are almost no pro sports teams to support, since I remain faithful to the Rockets, Astros and Texans. The San Jose Sharks are the exception. NHL is a seriously good game to watch, especially in the playoffs.
Watching Detroit vs San Jose right now. Detroit just took the lead. Had this feeling this was going to be "that OT game." Guess it won't be now.
The second implies that Tampa Bay fans are a myth. The first suggests that any fans they do have are very old.
somehow I found these NHL playoff games to be more exciting, lots of game sevens, big hits, great goaltending.
