And what is your rationale ? How can anyone be confident in some obscure bbser when they offer nothing except nothing? We are all with you freak(more like 'TheVoid') in your proclamation of nothing.

put your money where your mouth is otherwise shut your hor mauf

if the cavs had the same roster as the previous year then yes criticisms of scott would be warranted. he gets a free pass in cleveland because of what happened. only a troll would think rockets and cavs situations are even remotely comparable.

people can't be confident of rockets direction because i like the coaching change ??? huh ???

If the roster remains the same, Rocket River thinks the team will lose more games under KMac next season.

He's calling you Kool Aid because all you seem to do is go around defending KMac. You're turning into the denniscd of the McHale era.

    Here's my rationale:

We cannot be certain about the roster next year, but it's highly unlikely that they will actually "blow it up."

First, they have 11 players under contract. It seems unlikely they'll trade enough of them to decimate the team's core. If they rid of, say, Scola, I fee pretty good about Martin, Lowry and Co. continuing to compete and Patterson stepping into the minutes.

Second, they've publicly said they are not looking to tank. And they have not made moves to tank so far.

I'm sure they'll try to hit a "home run," and that might take the form of trading a vet or two in a deal involving a high pick. However, the draft being perceived as weak and devoid of surefire talent, I doubt any such trade will involve blowing up the roster.

Finally, I don't think McHale signed up to tank. He's got better things to do with his life if the Rockets wanted him to coach a bad team. I also don't think Joerger, Finch, etc. want to advance their career by being associated with horrible teams, either.

Now, last year's team won 43 games despite a slow start that was caused by, in part, too many minutes going to Hill and Brooks. I think that a team with Lowry, Lee, Martin, Patterson and (likely) a resigned Hayes playing the minutes that went to Brooks and Hill would be better. I also trust the coaching staff not to screw it up.

and i think he is wrong. but i would hope he is man enough to say what he means, and mean what he says, instead of having you speak for him. thanks anyway.

are the people who insist on repeatedly tearing down mchale not also kool aid drinkers then ???

i have the right to like the coaching change, and if people are going to criticize then i think they should be clear and concise and objective in their criticisms, instead of scattershot negativity. i think that's fair. and if anyone wants to label me a troll or propagandist, then they need to look i the mirror first.

Yeah he definitely doesn't need me defending him. I just felt a need to clarify.

You of course have every right to like the coaching change, as others have the right not to like it. It's just that every post of yours seem to be about defending McHale and you seem too insistent about it IMO. But hey that's your right too.

you must not be reading one of the 46 threads you have created then. The negative nancy clutch city general consensus is that mchale is actually just a robot that has no feelings, and in some ways would prefer to lose. He is here to lose, and that is his purpose.

In fact mchale just went to the courthouse to change his name to 'no self respect tanker guy' he own a cyanide pill and recently stopped taking baths. I mean 'whats the point'

This finch ,and this other guy they want to run their careers into the ground too. This is sabotage from the beginning. I mean we all know mchale bleeds celtic green. This is that bastids next phase in the celtic evil that will certainly background over this franchise haunting the halls of toyota center. In fact mchale, and robert parrish were last seen on the corner of mcgowan, and Im not sure, digging a tunnel... to plant under the stadium their celtic jerseys ,and a piece of the bastan gawden floor that akeem once tripped on.

This is clearly a sabotage mission, and les alexander ,and mchale are not laying the points, and are not picking the rockets in vegas. They are generating wealth ,and the illuminati is also working with them to get any and all future picks back to boston. So transparent it sickens me!

Once they can get ainge bird, and now mchale into their positions of influence a new celtic world order will be created with a dictatorship bringing red auerbach back from the the dead as the pontiff. To them it will be beautiful and finally you, and everyone else will understand the force that is celtic green and celtic power... we will all be forced to throw away our rockets gear and every team thus forward every team will be called the celtics except with sponsors to its the houston celtics brought to you by nokia or the denver celtics brought to you by pepsi. I mean it's obvious

Simply put . .. McHale won't do as well with the same team.

Now, In order to DO BETTER than Adelman . . McHale will need superior TALENT
    so
The onus is on D Morey to get more talent.
Even then . . .I suspect McHale will not do as well as Adelman had

    SO!
I personally suspect the Rockets are in TANK mode.
McHale is the guy to take the lumps while the coach in waiting is training.

If I am wrong .. .I will be happy . . .and happily say I was
    so . . . until then . . . Keep your Kool Aid cold . . .

Just wondering but have there been any teams in NBA history that have blown up an entire roster full of contracts that were ALL acquired within the last 20 months?

actually all of my posts are about defending the ROCKETS but i can understand that people don't know me well enough yet to see. i think the team is good, i like the players, i like morey and les, and i like mchale. i even like adelman but i think his best days are far behind. i think mchale is a cool guy and an inspirational leader. i trust morey and i like his analytical approach to team building. i'm happy to have mchale aboard and i like the idea of having finch right there next to him to cover for him and learn the ropes. i think we have a good group of players who are capable of much more than 42 and 43 win seasons. i also understand that this roster needs major upgrades in order to be a championship contender, so i don't get too attached to any player or coach.

being louder, or ruder, or more negative, does not make a person a better or smarter fan than another. there are too many posters here who insist on ****ting on the rockets and every decision they make, without even the slightest shred of objectivity. apparently it's a crime to like daryl morey, les alexander, yao ming, and now kevin mchale.

That's cool. No crime in liking your team.

I was a little put off because I thought you were trying to start an argument out of nothing, but I'm over it.

BTW if you're feeling so strongly that this team will have 43+ win season, maybe you should join Carl Herrera's side of the tip jar bet.

So why won't anyone take this bet? Some posters clearly think that the team will be worse next year but won't back up their beliefs. Typical.

+1, but quit quoting him, please. I say "him" but it could be a Morey-conceived app at this point. Its post count is absurd since the McHale signing. Definitely something Morey should tweak in version 2.0

Typical, sure. Have you thought that ardent Rockets fans don't want to ****ing bet against their own team? I'm not more interested in being right than I am the Rockets. I desperately want them to be good next year, so I desperately want to be wrong about Mc-Lurch.
