What Barcelona is doing out there is just wrong. They're making Man U look like a jv team. United got that one lucky offside goal, but other than that, it has been pure and utter domination. Barcelona should have 5 goals by now. This is the way soccer should be played. Barcelona didn't just drop everyone back behind the ball after they had the lead both times, they continued to attack and pick apart Man U. They're easily the best team in the world and Messi is the best player in the world.

No offense but how have you never watched messi play? Even casual soccer fans have seen him play, not like he is the biggest name in soccer currently or anything...

I don't know, I actually do watch a bit of soccer. I somehow don't recall watching Argentina last world cup. The only times I do watch soccer it's English primere league, because that's the only soccer that ever gets played other than MLS crap.

I have seen messi highlights, but never in a full length match.

Disappointed that aside from Vidic/VDS and Rooney, everyone played subpar.

The better team won today no doubt about that. I don't know a formula to beat Barcelona unless you have a team that can PASS as well as them. To beat them you basically need to beat them at their own game, but no one can really do that.

Giggs & Ferdy were pathetic, but Valencia was an absolute disaster.

I beg to differ. It's pointless to single out those 3 because everyone including bar EVS(even with the 2nd goal that should have been kept out) was subpar tonight.
Giggs wasn't pathetic, he was Giggs, no pace anymore. Ferdy was no more pathetic than Vidic. They both were ridiculously timid out there and Valencia wasn't a disaster imho. He was like Park, a lot of graft but not enough. They needed more skill and even more hustle and they got outclassed.
    We'll survive.

Just to add, moreso than the players lack of hustle on the field
(I can deal with the fact that we were outclassed but there is no excuse, ZERO for being outhustled).
was the fact that once again, Sir Alex got the plot wrong.
two years ago it was Pep that confused SAF and the United team by pushing Messi up into the CF role from the free(er) role he had back then.
    Now, it was SAF deciding
    1) Not even putting Dimi Berbatov on the bench yet putting Michael Owen on the bench-the same Michael Owen that looked out of sorts in front of goal in the Gary Neville testimonial match earlier in the week.
    2) Not realizing the need for Berbatov on the bench because if the chances aren't coming then it's POINTLESS to play Chicharito 90 minutes.
    3) You DON'T, DO NOT, CAN'T, play an open and free-flowing match with Barca because they will DESTROY you. Mourinho wrote the blueprint(and with the exception of the first clasico this season, Madrid stifled the Barca passing attack for a fair amount in their remaining matches, but obviously Barca still ended up winning).

    Outclassed and Outhustled.
    Brilliant.

He's more lucky than good. People who watch the games know that (what up MattJ?).

    Should have been 3-0.

I was scared for about 5 minutes in the first half and then allt he energy by Man U disappeared.

I will miss the parade but I will hit up Camp Nou next Saturday!!

Bullsh!t! He's a good striker but the game has changed. Chicharito does two thing well, gets in good positions and scores goals.
If the chances aren't there then it's fooking POINTLESS for him to be on the pitch. A waste of a player when that happens.

Ive been watching him maybe for the past 2 years and this guy is the real deal he scores in about one fourth succesful passes. He may not be a good dribbler but he can find the nets thats for sure. Barcelona played great defence, chicharito barely had any chances to touch the ball.

And as stated earlier, when there are barely any chances for Chicharito then it's pointless.

It's just dumb how good Barcelona is. There's really no way to beat them; you can't play their style better than they can (see Arsenal) and you can't try to open them up. There was no way to contain Messi and everybody on Manchester United looked out of sorts, aside from Rooney.

Everybody knew that Barcelona is the best team in Europe. This is just the exclamation mark at the end of that sentence.
