Reckless rationale. You should be working Rockets PR with Jonathan Feigen The idiotic idea Adelman quit wouldn't be as idiotic had he not over achieved this year. Given the talentless roster, there's not one coach in the league that could've got those results. Plus, the players didn't seem to think he quit, they loved Ricky and wanted him back. You & Daryl Morey are the only one that might make that baseless claim.
if adelman was giving his best effort, or if we had a chamionship contending roster, then yes it would be a massive downgrade. after what he did this last season though, i dont see it as such. morey overruled adelman and traded his favorite players, and the team improved despite adelmans laskluster efforts. even as an adelman fan, that was proof enough for me. adelman needs a new team, and the rocket need a new coach. problem sovled. life moves on.
reckless rationale lets see if mchale wins more than 44 games this year. i say he does. shall we make it a bet ???
As I posted in another thread, "Chris Jent MVP" joined 5-27-11 and has made 20-something posts just praising the McHale hire, running down Adelman, and confronting anyone who doesn't like the hire.... I'm just sayin'
ok, ok. i will talk about something else. do you know where i can find some solid wood furniture and save me money today ??? hopefully i can find a place where i order today and they deliver tonight. with no back back back order slip.
Hey DHoward, Deron Williams, David West, who do you want to play for D.Casey, L.Frank, or K.McHale? Coaching win games, but players win championships. Who is voting E.Spolestra Coach Of The Year next year and what happened to Thibodeau in the Finals this year? They brought in McHale for publicity, yes and free-agent interest. The past few years, we haven't signed any big name player. The trend in the NBA is building super teams, watch the Lakers go GAGA over D.Howard and D.Williams. I don't believe McHale is there just to coach, he has a job to bring in key players. If he can't coach and don't bring in players, he'll be gone fast.
i agree. but i dont think they will be so quick to fire him. they will just let his contract expire and let finch take over. the rockets are heding their bets with mchale. they see it as a win-win no matter what happens. if he truly sucks, then rockets get a good draft pick. if he is good, then he attracts free agents. i am on board with this plan. that's why i am excited.
"Should be"? Not sure anyone could make 40 Morey/Leslie nut-swinging posts in just a few hours for free. Hopefully the mods will notice soon.
Hell no. This guy ran Minnesota to the ground. He'll do the same in Houston. Garnett was a once in a lifetime player, and McHale managed to **** it up (and it had nothing to do with health like the Yao/Mac combo).
Too early to tell right now. I think I'll wait until around game 30 to make a real decision. He hasn't had that much coaching experience and it'll take time to put everything together given the entirely new coaching staff and the possible lockout.
We hired him because he will allow this unknown dude Chris Finch to be on staff and groomed for heir apparent. Wow, great way of telling us this team will suck for the next couple of years and Chris will take over and delivery us a championship in 5 years. Thanks Daryl, u cats in the Rocket front office are killing us and welcome to the emptiness of Toyota Center.
We're rebuilding, player development and buying into Morey's way of doing things are going to be essential. On both counts, I'm sure K-Mac will do well.
Deck, we are without a doubt in Bizzaro World. When I first heard KM's name my thought was, you must be kidding me. This said, with all the time to think about it, I'm trying REALLY hard to see some postives. I'm starting to think, with strong assistants, it may be a good fit. Players love KM, he should do wonders for our bigs ( at least I hope) Not sure about his x's and o's, but that's where the assistants come in. Yes him being a hated Celtic is very very strange, but like I said I'm trying hard to understand. It's tough, cause I was there wanting to punch anything and everything green in 86. I just want to win, if he can help get us back on track then so be it. If not, this is on Morey IMO. I think you and I agree, Morey has much to prove at this point, the clock is ticking.
Okay. You're obviously solid in your belief Adelman quit, but any TV analyst, former coach, current coach & player will tell you the man did one of the best coaching jobs this year with the limited resources Morey gave him. The players played hard for him every night and over achieved. I don't think you watched many Rocket games
