Yeah, besides his Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington impressions, he doesn't bring much to the table. That's exactly what they do. He doesn't read it until he does it on live TV. I hated Jimmy Fallon for all his fake uncontrollable laughter to get cheap applause bits, but Hader's seems to be the real deal.
I'd say out of all the rookies, he's the worst. I think he's only in sketches ethier to do an impression, or because the script calls for two black guys. His best was definitely the Unstoppable trailer he did with Taran, I've watched it over an over and every time I end up ROFL.
I would say Paul Brittain is the worst, there are long stretches of episodes/weeks where he does not even make an appearance
I used to say the same, but going through the few sketches he did do, he was pretty good. I wonder why they don't give him any airtime?
The skit 'Bride of Blackenstien' was his best IMO. Don't know if he wrote it but it was hilarious. Might be underrated since this isn't something the SNL target audience really gets. Don't consider Armisen that funny Hader is very funny [esp when he plays the Cajun Senator] Rocket River
The funniest person I've seen on SNL in the past few years (all probably 3 episodes I've watched) has been Justin Timberlake. And in those 3 episodes, I've seen nothing that made me think that Kenan was funny. So there.
