Okay so he got it in October. Honestly, had he gotten it now, I'd call him a douche. But him getting it before the season, just gives him motivation all year long. He would actually look like a genius if they win haha.
Well, that's it. I was torn on who to root for. Now it's Heat all the way just so I can make fun of jason Terry and the stupid Mavs fans for the rest of eternity for him getting that tattoo and not having a ring. If the Mavs were from another city, Terry wasn't on the team, and Dirk wasn't so annoying to look at, I would love them. Great team basketball. But the opportunity to laugh at a world series loss, a finals loss, and a super bowl failure is too much (yes, I know, we can't even get there ... but from a historical perspective it will be fun to look back and make fun of them for it). And dammit if I have to root for those ego-sensationalists in Miami for it to happen.
It'd only be fair of the Basketball Gods managed to have the following things happen: -Mario Chalmers intentionally punching Jason Terry in the balls so hard that he would have to sit out the entire NBA Finals -Juwan Howard hitting the game winning shot in Game 6, sending it to a must-win Game 7 for either team -JJ Barea scoring 35 points in Game 7, 18 of which came from the free throw line courtesy of 6 personal fouls on Dwyane Wade, leading the Mavericks to the championship.
I just cannot bring myself to root for Dallas as much as I dislike Miami. I will never hear the end of it from my Dallas friends... the thought alone makes me sick
Dallas and Houston had an interstate geographical rivalry before their respective pro sports teams were entrenched in their cities' consciousness.

I want to be happy for Dallas fans. I really do. I just know them and whats gonna happen afterwards. I am gonna be happy Mark Cuban won and David Stern has to give him the trophy. I am gonna be happy for Texas teams. I just know some Dallas fan is gonna change my mind later.

I really don't want Dallas to win it all but, I believe that they will. I just don't think there is anybody that can stop Dirk right now.
I wouldn't be overly disturbed unlike more than a few here. I'm rather young, but I'm old enough to remember how the Rockets got jobbed in that playoff series, but I've moved on from that. I just wanna see David Stern's face when he has to look at that ****-eating grin that Mark Cuban seems to always have when he isn't b****ing about his team being screwed. Got a lot of respect for Dirk, J-Kidd, Peja, a little less for Cuban, and zero for Terry.
