After reading the reviews that X-Men First Class is getting, I can't wait to see the movie. Big X-Men fan...
That's exactly what I expected when they released the trailer, oh well should be good for a few laughs, I hope....
Damn this **** is out already???? I think I'll skip this hangover and go get my ass kicked by Kung Fu Panda 2.... Seems to be getting the better reviews of the two on Rottentomatoes...
Same here. I feel that if I go into it with low expectations, I shouldn't be TOO disappointed. I hope...
Why was it a surprise? Todd Philips directing Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis with a funny premise had loads of potential from the beginning
Saw an advance screening of this last night. Don't waste your money seeing it in the theater. I loved thie first one, but this second one is EXACTLY the same, but not as funny, and kinda dragged on. Just replace Vegas with Bangkok, and you have Hangover 2. It's a DVD rental for sure. Entertaining when nothing else is on TV type of movie. I tried really really hard to like the movie while watching, but it just never happened.
Because no one had really even heard of Galifianakis at the time. It wasn't like he or Ed Helms were big name draws then.
They must have really dropped the ball on this one. I'm pissed that they screwed it up. The first one was so great but who wants the same damn story twice basically in a different setting? You telling me the best they can come up with is another one gets married (and what happened to the Heather Graham character?) in a different setting. I'll be damned if I waste a penny on this. I'll watch it when it comes to Netflix. I would have seen it in the theater if they actually put in the time to make a good sequel. But, this one is getting review killed left and right.
I think what made the first one so great was it's originality and surprise elements. The second movie sure as heck lacked both. Literally every scene if not mostly every scene was a reflection from the first movie just in a different setting. It still managed to make me laugh but I did not want something so similar to the first.
I guess if you haven't already seen the 1st one, might as well go catch this Hangover 2 and it'll just be like watching the original but in a different setting.... Hollywood seems to always capitalize on freaking sequels... Has there ever been a really good comedy sequel that's better than the original??? Does Gremlins 2 count???
I wouldn't necessarily say it was better, but wasn't Get Him to The Greek essentially a sequel to Forgetting Sarah Marshall? Or is that more of a spin-off? Other than that, I got nothing. Fletch Lives? Ha Ha!
Get him to the Greek was a spin-off to FSM. Brand played the same character, just expanded it. Jonah Hill was the only other actor from FSM but played a completely different character, not sure why since there characters had good chemistry in FSM. So it wasn't a sequel although they did give a nod to FSM during the movie.
