But don't all fans do that???? I live in Dallas and I talk about our two Rockets championships all day every day. Lakers and Celtics fans I know do the same thing. The only fans I've met that don't throw championships in your face when having an argument are Steelers fans(but that may just be with the Steelers fans I've met, for the most part they've all been classy). I've heard Yanks fans, BoSox fans(of recent) also talk ad nauseam about their championships when having an argument with other fans.

I prefer not to be anally violated by a horse. Rather see Dallas win than Miami. I hate them that much. Hell, this may be a stretch for most of you but I'd rather see the '97 Jazz and the '07 Jazz win over Miami! This is like jordan going to play for Detroit in the late 80's, or Stockton and malone both going to play for the Bulls. That behavior doesn't deserve a ring. What does it teach today's youth?
Ha! Ever been to San Antonio? Ever hear Sean Elliot call a Spurs game? Ever try to argue with a "May-June Only Spurs Fan"? The one's who can't tell you anyone on the roster outside of Tim, Tony, and manu? The ones who have to ask you during the playoffs, "Do the Spurs play tonight"? Talk about fans not deserving a championship. I know they beat us, i know they foul, i know Cuban talks ****, but outside of that what has Dallas really done to make me hate them. Spurs fans here hate the Lakers big time, but why hate a team for beating you straight up? Now cheatin @ss floppin @ss, hacking @ss Utah jazz is a different story!
Let me tell you a story, youngster. Way back in my law school days, I was walking out of class one day with a buddy from Dallas and a buddy from Houston. The Dallas guy was going on and on about Dallas...about how they were getting a new this and a new that. He was extolling the virtues of his hometown. He went on for quite a while. Finally he stopped talking long enough to take a breath. And when he did, my Houstonian friend said: "Yeah, but you'd have to live there with all those miserable people." /thread
Meh, the only team I don't want ever winning is Utah. I have friends in the Dallas area who are true Mavericks fans who suffered through the dark years. These guys deserve a championship. And it's not like they went through us this year. Someone has to win it all. And I think the Mavericks are loaded and will win it. ...and like MadMax just said, people have to live there with all these d-bags. Give the true fans this, at least.
I despise both teams, but i can't stand seeing or hearing Dallas fans being happy. They have all the other sports better than us, but let us keep bball (in terms of championships). Gotta go with the Heat by default.
I don't live in Dallas or Houston, but I have never understood why people from Houston are so obsessed with discrediting everything related to Dallas. And I'm not talking about sports franchises. I'm talking about everyday houston people (friends, colleagues, family) going out of their way to talk about how $hitty Dallas and its people are. Conversely, I've never heard a Dallas acquaintance talk badly about Houston other than the humidity.
well, keep living then...that's pretty much all I hear about Houston from Dallas guys. the next good thing i hear about Houston from a Dallas acquaintance or friend will be the first.
There's a reason the most common phrase in Dallas when it comes to Houston is "it's not the heat, it's the stupidity". Dallas doesn't bother me one bit, I seriously don't give two craps about the city or the teams there. We've got our share of obnoxious and fairweather fans, including 30K millionaires and snookie lookalikes. In other words, everybody's s**t stinks. The sooner a some of you realize that, the happier you'll be.

no. it's more fun to poke at dallas. i'll never be happier than watching a team from Houston beat a team from Dallas in any sport. :grin:
I hate dallas a lot less than I used to. Maybe it's simply because of 2 reasons. Cowboys actually suck now. Rockets are no longer relevant. I hate Lebron more than I hate Dallas at this point, so I will definitely be rooting for Dallas.
poking fun and rivalries are one thing, but these guys make it seem like being from dallas is a character flaw or something... and that if the mavs win, they're going to nuke the american airlines center. chillax bros.
