I agree all the way and I really hope we get rid of Bud/Hill/Miller/Thabeet and T-Will before pre-season..

This are the players I would like to target with our picks. In no particular order. 14th pick: SF/PF 6'9 Marcus Morris, SF 6'8 Jordan Hamilton, SF 6'9 Chris Singleton, SF/PF 6'8 Tobias Harris 23rd pick:C 7'0 Nikola Vecuvic, PF/C 6'10 Jeremy Tyler, C 7'0 Lucas Nogueira, PG/SG Josh Selby, PG Reggie Jackson. 38th pick: PF/C 6'10 JuJuan Johnson, C 6'11 Keith Benson, PF 6'10 Trey Thompkins, SG/SF 6'7 Scotty Hopson, PF 6'9 Justin Harper
Not a bad list. I'm a little skeptical of Marcus Morris being able to play SF in the NBA, so I'd maybe pass on him (although I guess you take the guy if he's clearly the BPA on the Rockets' draft board). Also, if they keep all three picks (I'm guessing the odds of that happening are below 50%), you can bet that at least one of those picks is going to be an international prospect. Otherwise, it's like throwing away a pick, since it is highly unlikely that the Rockets will roster three rookies next season without a major trade that creates the available roster spots.

It makes you wonder if Houston is one of the destinations that Nogueira desires to end up.
i see quite a bit of people here wanting a SF at pick 14. do you all not want T-Will back? i wont lie tho, if singleton is the defensive genius he's supposed to be it'd def. be nice against the best wing players in the league. i like markieff morris b/c he's got the size and defined position at 4 while marcus seems to be a tweener. i also like marshon brooks but i dont think high scoring wings in college necessary translate into a good NBA player. (someone mentioned jermaine taylor. how about morris almond?) all of this assuming we keep the picks. i am leery of international players for sure. thoughts?
Tobias Harris. He tested out well at the combine and really helped his stock. I think he would fit in well with the Rockets. He's a very smart player. scouting report from mynbadraft.com Versatile player can play either forward position, sees the floor and handles the ball well, rebounds, slashes and is unselfish. A high character kid whose attitude and work ethic will add a lot to his team to go along with a great deal of talent, and the fact that he doesn’t turn 19 until summer makes him even more impressive. At 6ft 8 225lbs he already has a good body that is not done developing. As he develops I think his greatest strength will be a mid range game, he has broad shoulders, good length and a nice touch and will be able to score through contact. Also will commit to defense and is a team player. As Harris develops he has less and less weaknesses but lacks an element to his game that stands out. Right now I call him a combo forward for his versatility but also in part to the fact he is a little undersized for PF and lacks the range and quickness to play SF. Harris will be a good pick, I think he is a role player right away with the potential to be a key player on a good team. I would like to see him fill out more physically to become a PF where he will excel at a one on one mid range game. I see him being a combination of Jeff Green and Paul Millsap down the road.

If we don't trade picks (very unlikely that we keep all 3) then TODAY I like: 14 Tobias Harris, Tristan Thompson, Monty if he drops 23 Noguiera, Singleton if he drops 38 Benson, J. Williams, J. Tyler
Keep It Simple Stupid Kenneth Faried He's a good defender that's going to be a double-digit rebounder. Take him at #14 if you can't move up.
I still want that 14th pick to be used on Marshon Brooks. I wouldn't mind using the 23rd and 38th in a package trade to move up.
Might as well change that $20 to $40. Whose going to be guarding Durant in the playoffs? This is the guy we should be moving up for: Spoiler <iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DNV9Syn9yS4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This is my guy I see this team drafting if we keep the 14th pick and that's who I want the team to draft if none of the international bigs projected in the lottery aren't available. Some compare his game to Battier for his defense and high IQ which I can see but I think that's a bad comparison just for the fact the Battier had no offense beside the corner threes. Tobias Harris actually has an offensive game. Was an All-American as a freshman and average 15.3ppg. He showed that he has nice handles, often bringing the ball up himself. And he showed he can shoot off the dribble, drive & score, or post up if he has a mismatch. I see him as more of a Danny Granger at his best than a Shane Battier. Unselfish, plays with a lot of fire, and has the work ethics. He went from 14-15% body fat around the beginning of his freshman year to 8% body fat. An interview with DX, he said that, "no one will out work me". I like his attitude and pose especially for a 18 year old. This is him putting in work on his shot @ 2AM and some of his highlights at Tennessee: <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/t-eGGJcxmS0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ve-aTHGhX8A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Few years from now, I could see he being one of the top 3 players in the draft this year and I wouldn't be surprised at all if another team sees his potential & swoops him up a couple of pick before us.
