Not surprised at all. This guy looked really good at the combine. He has good size and plays a bit like DeMarcus Cousins from the videos I've watched. The great thing is this guy really wants to be the best and will work at it.

Would not mind at all to trading up for him or Leonard. Kanter might end up being a better rookie than Derrick Williams, I'll even come out and say that.

I'm not too excited about Leonard. On the other hand, Kanter would be awesome. He doesn't finish strong close to the basket as much as a 6-11 guy should, but he hustles for the rebound. He's quick enough to come up with some of those plays. He actually reminds me of Yao Ming with better athletic ability and perimeter game

An era with Martin will be worse than an era with an injured Yao and Tmac.

Kanter will end up being the best of both gasols in one person. Marc's physicality and hustle combined with pau's finesse and skill. Amazing qualities to have in a PF, wouldn't you say? Great Defense and Great Offense. Shotblocking. Rockets desperate need=Weak side shot blocking.

Exactly the move that could land Howard in Houston.

And what about his health problems? Are they overblown? I know the Rockets are desperate for a big, but I'd rather talent take a back seat to health, especially if the pick is going to cost a lot to get.

I think it's going to take the #14 pick plus either Lowry or Patterson to get a top 4 pick, and maybe even both players. Cleveland was asking for Gay from Memphis for their #4 pick, but they may have done that to set the tone for future offers.

And if the Rockets are going to bet the farm to get that high lottery pick, they better be sure they're going to get Kanter or whoever they want, and not end up one pick short.

One of the most interesting things about Kanter is the guy off from basketball for a while(not by choice) and came to the combine in excellent shape. Surprising everyone in attendance. But i have to repeat, the organization should do everything in their power to not give up that 14th pick. Morey is golden with the last pick in the lottery. I believe this is where he does his best work.

I'm sorry but if we are moving up to the top of the draft... It's for Derrick Williams. He is the best fit for us. We will probably have to give up Kmart and a pick or PPatt and two picks.

That's not even a little bit true...

The last thing this team needs is an undersized PF that's probably going to be stuck between Power Forward and Small Forward for most of his career.

Cool. Now stop being "interested" and get the thing done. Tired of hearing "interested in" I want to here "traded for...".

Without RA around, KM becomes a player who can be traded at any given time

If Kanter can do all of the above, I am all for it. We are in desperate need to rebuild with young bigs that can actually play. As Clutch put it, we must take a direction and go for it. Being middle of the road, languishing in purgatory at 14th will get us no where fast.
