I will admit I am wrong if Miami does not win it all.

You are acting as if Miami beat Dallas.

    D. Hated LeBron's cocky attitude and choking ways for several years. I give him zero credit for riding the coattails of Wade and Bosh.

Think about it: the last time two of the top five players in the NBA were on the same league, who was the third best player on their team? The answer: Robert Horry -- who despite of the big shots was not close to being an all-star. And that team won three straight titles. Lebron and Wade's third player is a top 15 player in the NBA in Bosh. If Miami can get guys like Miller and Haslem to be healthy and play to their usual standard this team is going to be very difficult to beat and will be the favoriate to win it all for the forseeable future.

IMO he did. If Dream,Jordan, and another all star teamed up back in 90 before Jordan won his first ring I would have felt cheated too. I would never have seen Jordan created the Bulls Dynasty. I would have never seen Dream carry the Rockets to the ring as the only real star in 94. Instead I would have seen those guys dominate the league for the next 5-6.

Lebron cheated fans by joining the Heat and playing with Wade and Bosh, just like Magic and Bird did with Kareem/Worthy and Parish/Mchale or Jordan with Pippen/Rodman, Shaq with Kobe/GlenRice, Garnett with Pierce/Allen, Hakeem with Drexler, Duncan with Robinson, Wilt with West/Baylor and of course the original cheater himself Russel with those great Celtic teams.

How dare they cheat us of quality basketball by wanting to play with other great players. If only those other stars refused to play with other great players we could have watched quality basketball consisting of 1 great player surrounded by crappy teammates.

Great game, too bad for Chicago.

Looking forward to the next one.

Now I will leave the thread and let the LeBron obsessed people (haters and fans) argue till their hearts content. :)

Pfft none of those combos you mentioned had two of the top 3 players in the league with another all star on them. A lot of people would even say that Lebron and Wade are the best two players in basketball. The Lakers come the closest but Glenn Rice was 33 and past his prime when they won that ring. Kareem was old and Worthy is not the same caliber player as Wade or Bron and the same can be said for Parrish and Mchale. The closet you are going to come is when Dr. J and Moses teamed up at the end of their careers and just ran through the league. Give me an example of a team with 2 of the 3 top players in basketball with another all stay on the same team when they are all in their prime.

E.) Disgusted in him because he could have gone and went from Cleveland just as it is. But instead chose to do a 1 hour drama special over the whole thing.

as this poster pointed out (as i somehow brainfarted and forgot)
Note, Rice averaged 22.3 with 45% fg 43% 3pt and 27 with 47% fg 47% 3pt prior to joining the Lakers.

Sums nothing up. What is going on with the Heat has never happened before. You can feel free to jump in and tell me when two of the top three players in their prime joined up with another all star. The fact that these guys are still in their mid to late 20s is a huge deal. Stop naming all these guys with a only a little left in gas tank.

I don't get why some people care so much about preferences of some total strangers on a bbs forum, about which non-Rockets team to win the Finals.

It's NOT the Rockets, but Miami or Dallas, Jeez.

Maybe Jordan and Pippen? Not sure if Pip was top 3 per se but he was probably very close.

It's way way too early to talk about HOF for a 22-year-old kid. If Derrick Rose retired today he would be the worst MVP in NBA history.

I'm not saying that Rose does not deserve his MVP. It's a regular season award and it should go to a player on the best team record-wise who the Bulls were. What I'm poniting out is that true superstars elevate their games in the playoffs while Rose has played worse in the playoffs. He will get better with more post season experience, but he is, as of now, overhyped.

This is a return to the era of 3-4 real contenders and everyone else is an also-ran. And I can't say I'm a huge fan of that notion. But to each his own....

Oh well, I'll just let the LeBron lovers get back in line with their fanatical desire to get on their knees.

Nope Pippen was never even top 5. Hakeem, Barkley, Jordan, Malone, Shaq, Robinson and Ewing were all better than that guy. You'd have to have a team of Jordan/Hakeem or Jordan/Robinson in the early 90s to compare to the level of talent the Heat have in two superstars.
