Agree. Especially this recent trend of rolling around like you just got shot in the face. For stuff like that, I'd toss the player and suspend him for the next game too. Falling down on flimsy contact is bad enough, but there's more of a gray area of trying to take a charge and whatnot. But pretending like someone just broke your nose is downright pathetic and shouldn't be tolerated at all.
This thing has become contagious. Its way too obvious they are acting. As if the refs dont know either. NBA is turning into WWF. Stern = McMahon.
Hmm, seems like our local league is more advanced than the NBA. Here, a flop is called as a technical foul. Like 2 flops will get you ejected.
spot JV, for the flailing for fouls is a far worse blight on the game than trying to draw a charge.... we have superstars falling over dead with no contact... i thought the 2006 finals would have pushed the league to do someone but no so doubt they ever address it
Do a point system similar to technicals. Reviewed after game. You get to a certain number of points and you get a suspension.
I don't like the Flop and I don't like the 'Paul Peirce' Nothing like watching Paul writhe on the floor for 12 minutes and then be carried out on a stretcher . . .only to come back in 3 minutes later and lite up some team . . . . . Rocket River
the reason i have a problem with harden is that its similar to this. "pretending" to get hurt is just out of line. i think sometimes guys flop to exaggerate a foul (like a charge or a hard screen) and most of the time i'm ok with that. but to fake an injury or pretending to get hurt when there was zero to little to contact is simply absurd and players should be penalized for that.
