Agreed. I am "obviously" for the Mavs because my compatriot Dirk plays for them, but even if he wasn't there, I would want the Mavs to win over the Heat.

I understand the Houston vs. Dallas angle, but just going by the characters on the Heat, I don't want them to be rewarded with a title.

screw that. you sound like the kind of guy who moves to L.A. just to justify rooting for the lakers. i hope miami gets knocked out by the Bulls if not then I hope Dirk and the Mavs take care of em. KD and OKC will only get better next year from their experience this series. (assuming the team stays together).

 

Dirk deserves a ring. He has paid his dues with all these years of playoff frustrations. The tough thing is that Cuban will also get his. Urgh....

 

I can understand the Dallas hate....but you people need to get over it. It was years ago, and it was the FIRST round. You would think it we were in the same situation as the old Sacramento Kings versus the Lakers in 2002 or something.

Jason Kidd and Dirk both deserve rings to cap off their HOF careers, and they prob won't have an opportunity like this again. I'm rooting for the Mavs, because it's a Texas team. In the playoffs, we're all each other's enemies. In my mind, all teams are our rivals, but if I had to choose, it would be the lesser of two evils. I can't stand OKC's excessive flopping and my Miami hate is pretty self explanatory, therefore I rather pick an organization that is winning through good trades and draft selections.

People here who hate the Mavs cause of one(!) 1st round series never matured. It's that peer pressure in sports where "fans" apparently have to really, really demonstrate their hate on good opponents that beat them earlier. To top that, they take every opportunity to tell everyone how much they "f#!*in hate" that team and how bad the fans are. How bad are you as a sportsman if you flame a team that never acted bad towards you, just because they won, have to repeat myself, ONE series. That's what i seriously hate about the majority of fandom.

 

I hate the Mavs as much as the next guy but who doesn't want Dirk and JKidd to win a title, I wanna see that... Miami, not so much screw them, lololol.....

My Dallas hatred went away when they swept Lakers. Dirk is Amazing. I hope they win championship but Cuban losts his ring. I hate that guy.

 

that was a real ugly way to lose. the turnovers, shot selection, and utter lack of poise was amazing. okc has a lot of soul searching to do. i hope they are able to grow from this and not decide to do something rash. firing brooks or trading westbrook would be a stupid thing to do. durant played just as selfishly and poorly at the end as the media has been accusing westbrook of doing. i don't what it's gonna take but they just have to learn to trust one another more.
