Western Conference Finals: Dallas Mavericks vs Oklahoma City Thunder

People take some facial expression way too seriously. Right after the loss, they just need some time to absorb it. Yeah, he is not a Vet who can put game face or poker face on all the time, especially during conferences. So what? What's important is how they respond in the next game. I don't give them much chance, not because their facial expression on TV, but rather their youth/inexperience, and their COY's lacking of ability to draw some set plays.

 

My worst fear of the Mavs winning a ring is about to come true... scurred. I hate to say this, but in a Mavs vs. anybody Finals, I'm going with "anybody".

 

That's why we can't let The Decision bother us. Wade won't let Dallas win,,,again.

 

People on clutchfans rooting for the Mavs need to get the eff out seriously. That makes me sick. I hope the Heat or Bulls destroy the Mavs and their arrogant fans. I would root for Dirk if he was on any other team but the Mavs, but there is no chance in hell I will be rooting for them, ever.

 

OKC is one of those teams what will flourish and take off ridiculously with the right coach.

Imagine giving a defensive coach this team, they will shut down everybody.

Imagine giving an offensive coach this team, they will be unstoppable.

They have all the requirements to be a good offensive and defensive team. Height, size, athletism and speed.

Same here. Mavs winning a championship makes me shudder. I've picked against them in the first two series...not gonna do it anymore.

I hate Cuban as well but this Dallas team is a different team. So many class acts who have paid their dues in this league (Dirk, Kidd, Marion, Stojakovic), a great defensive minded coach, solid role players. I believe that the only players from that team which beat us in '05 is Dirk (class act) and Terry (douche but the only one).

 

Right coach or not this team will never win it all without a legitimate post presence, the primary focus should be getting someone like al jefferson, scola, nene etc.

 

You don't think Wade will be on top of his game in the Finals? Don't confuse Miami facing 2 teams that rarely allow points at the rim with Wade not being able to finish at the rim.

Please remember the Mavs couldn't keep Brandon Roy in front of them. After facing the Celtics and Bulls, the Heat will be happy to square off against the Mavs "defense". The Thunder lost tonight but broke 100 for the 3rd straight game. Westbrook and Durant are getting theirs. The team can't get stops though.

 

Throughout this year's playoffs, I don't think any one player has defended Dirk as well as LaMarcus Aldridge did.

As long as they play in the city of Dallas and Mark Cuban is owner I will never like them. People can tell me to move on, but I am still bitter about 04-05. We should have won that series and I honestly believe Mark Cuban manipulated that series with the bogus calls on Yao. Past is the past and the Mavs are still the Mavs. My hate towards Dallas teams will go to my grave with me no matter what kind/however many character players they have.

 

I don't think this series goes back to OKC. The Mavs in 5.

 

I think Bosh will do a decent job on Dirk. Lebron/Wade are excellent perimeter defenders and they can also help with the best of them.

The Mavs winning a ring isn't exactly an ideal consolation prize to the Rockets not making the playoffs and the Lakers losing fairly early in the post-season.

Mavs play the right way. They have nothing but classy players who work hard day in and day out with any ego like the damn douhe bag heat.
THe management also deserves props for building the right team around Dirk. What isnt there to like about this team?

OKC just doesn't know how to close out games. If (when) Miami is up by 15 against Dallas with 4:50 to go, they aren't letting that lead go. They have been playing better than Dallas, IMO. Would like to see Dirk get a ring, but not with Dallas on his uniform.

 

That was UGLY for OKC. That offense...or lack there of......

With out the BEARD....they failed....miserably.

 

I am taking a break from my studying to simply say **** the Mavericks. I am going to have to abandon rooting for Derrick Rose (**** Boozer, Korver, Noah) and cheer on the Heat just to ensure that Dallas does not win.
