Jeremy Tyler did impress scouts yesterday in the draft combine. It was said that he had starting coming on towards the end of his Japan situation before the tsunami hit.
Not true. Coach in Japan, Bob Hill: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=mc-spears_jeremy_tyler_2011_nba_draft_051811
It really has nothing to do with what the fans want. If someone brings a player up, its just a discussion, nothing more, nothing less.
Get this kid on the right team with good coaching and great team atmosphere and he will become a star. The Rockets are a young team but we have professional players that would have a very positive impact on a kid like this. Get him in with players like Chuck, Pats, Yao, Martin and Lee. Have him do like Kobe and have some training sessions with Hakeem on post moves. Basically, the Rockets would be the perfect organization for a player like this. (So would the Lakers)
The GARM is filled with some of the most idiotic ideas ever, GMs would straight out wet their pants cause they'd laugh so hard about some of the trades mentioned. Minny needs a defensive-minded veteran that adds to help-defense, they already have good scorers. Addin K-Mart would make absolutely no
Call me crazy(and i know many of you will), but the Rockets have to pick Marshon Brooks at 14. Personally, i don't think he will be there come draft day, but i have my fingers crossed. They should also look to get one of either a. Vucevic, b. Tyler or c. Williams at #23. Even if we trade up to get Kanter, keep that #14 pick for Brooks. This kid has future star written all over him.
I think the writer is just saying that Chad Ford picked Jackson for #23 in his mock draft. I highly doubt from the knowledge I have gathered about Morey that he would give a guarantee like this so early. He seems to always be on lookout for big trade, which could include that pick. It was, however, rumored that Danny Ainge may have given Jackson this guarantee. http://www.theknicksblog.com/2011/05/06/source-celts-have-given-guarantee-to-jackson/ Would make sense for Jackson to hide from workouts if he would like to fall to Boston at 25 and stay living there. Or maybe he is really just injured. Just really doubt that Houston would do something like this.
Agreed. Daryl Morey doesn't make draft promises. Also, the Longhorn fan in me is a little disappointed that the Celtics are looking to add another young PG in the late first round. I really thought that Avery Bradley could develop into a high-quality backup PG who could play top-notch defense.
Hey LongTimeFan, this is what I emailed your sig. I thought you had it set up the whole time. I know it's crappy, but so what? Thanks for the invite.
Lol, that's hilarious RR. That picture made me go ahead and register it just in case anyone else gets bored enough to e-mail.
Jeremy Tyler needs to be a Rocket with the Orlando pick. He'll be a steal. The Next DeAndre Jordan. Don't **** this up.
An update about Valanciunas contract situation: I think that he will finally get the buyout, as expected; the question then will be if he signs with another Euroleague team (after being drafted) for a year/pair of years (either way going to the NBA after a year) to avoid the lockout season. Anyhow, does not seem like this issue is going to affect or prejudice his draft position, if the buyout is finally confirmed. I think almost every NBA franchise would accept to have him playing in Europe for the next year if it ultimately happens.
I too think JT would be a good pick to at the 23rd spot but the next DeAndre Jordan? He is no where that explosive.
