You are correct sir. In the attempt to compare him constantly to others, sometimes some of us forget his overall game. I think I may be beginning to appreciate him for him and drop the comparisons.

I do still harbor a bit of resentment, I'm part of the camp that never liked him for his attitude, liked him even less with the way he pulled off the decision, but secretly always wanted him to just dominate offensively because of his raw talent and power. I was upset that he didn't want to be Jordan and instead opted for this role. But I guess we must learn to move on and appreciate him for what type of player he is. A damn good one.

Once he has his mind set onto something, this guys is just amazing to watch. The sequence where he was the focal point of the offense, and jumped back to defense, flew to deflect a pass out of bounds and landed into camera men, was simply joyful to watch. You have to admire how hard he works, on top of his talent and physical strength. I didn't like him before, ever since he said he would show leadership before he stepped on the NBA court, but now he has won me over.

Amare? Really? He's an even worse rebounder than Bosh and the guy has never played a single possession of defense in his life.

Him leaving to play with talent will hurt him when compared to MJ and Magic... BUT he cant still be a top 10 player of all time, with rings.

    Yeah, in the minds of:

    - haters
    - those that somehow don't realize he is playing with less talent than MJ and Magic played with

Bosh is better than any 3rd option that the Bulls had

Yes, Amare is a worse rebounder than Bosh.

And you've obviously never heard of hyperbole. Here's a hint: I didn't really mean that Amare had literally never played defense even once in his life. I meant that he is atrocious at defense the vast majority of the time. Bosh has actually become a very good defender, and an integral part of one of the best defenses in the league.

I did. In this very thread. After game 1 when everybody was overracting about how great chicago was and how deep their bench was and how they were the best defensive team ever. I told everyone to relax - that the heat would win game 2 by 10-14 points and then they would go home and take care of business and they would be at 3-1 going back to Chicago. Then I mentioned that Lebron and Wade were hungover because they played so bad and I really believe that to be fact.

Yes absolutely amazing. And IF (a big IF) both teams make it, I will really enjoy watching Lebron lock down Dirk.

If you've actually watched the Heat play, you would have seen that Bosh is a very good team defender. They would not be nearly as good defensively as they are if you put a completely apathetic, 1-dimensional scorer like Amare in his place.

Highly debatable. And the last time I checked, a NBA roster had 12 players on it. I would love for you to go down the Heat and Bulls rosters 1-12 and somehow show how the Heat have more talent.
